For as much hate as the shoes are getting, I'm seeing a lot of NBA players wearing the KD8.  (Much moreso than in the past few seasons with previous KD models) I'm not sure, if it is just because of how increasingly popular low tops are becoming for players in the league....or if there's something else in play here. But I have been to 3 Pre Season games so far.. (2 in OKC, and 1 in Brooklyn)...and there have been multiple players on both teams playing, wearing this newest version of the KD. If this shoe was as crappy of a shoe as most of the "experts" posting on Nike Talk, are saying it is..these multi million dollar athletes wouldn't be wearing them. (Especially when they have the choice of wearing anything brand specific that they want.)

Most people on NT are worried about getting fits off rather than playing ball. I haven't played ball in years, so I definitely wouldn't be using the 8 for them. I was sour on this model at first, but the Easy Euro is the best color because of the casual appeal especially with Fall fashion.

For Kixsquare to be practically giving them away at $99 makes me wonder how much is wholesale price per unit when stores buy from Nike. They're still making a profit on these although minimal.

They are a really good ballin shoe. I usually don't wear lows, but they were very comfortable. I like them better than the lebron 12 and kyrie 1 for balling. The kd8 just doesn't look good with pants and most of the colorways are awful. It looks more like a $120 running shoe.

makes me wonder why all of us dont just let kicks go to sale......apparently, they are ripping folks off with the retail prices.

It's already started. Lebron 12s, Kobe X, KD 7, KD 8 are all sitting because they're overpriced and people know it. They're sitting, along with a decent amount of Jordan retros as well. Consumers need to send that message.

Kyrie 1s flew off the shelves because they were cheap (relative term) and looked good.

I haven't even tried on a KD 8 yet, but that has more to do with not having my size in stores.

They are supposed to perform well and something else to consider is that NBA players and probably a lot of college players get custom orthodics.  They aren't really a shoe you'd rock casually, but they do look ok on court.

smh, KDs dude Randy Williams (guy in red KD hat) is at every game sitting courtside, and i swear every time I see a picture of him or see him on TV at the game, hes buried in his phone instead of watching the game going on in front of him
dude snaps every moment of the day lol

Opening Night Pack, release Nov. 11

Durant’s opening night shoe pays tribute to his team and hometown via an intermixed skyline and city map graphic depicting Oklahoma City with DMV (Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia). The black-and-white design showcases the versatility of the KD8  Flyweave upper, which can be sublimated with graphics. Durant will lace up the shoe on Wednesday versus San Antonio.
