Official Nike KD VIII (8) Thread - "Easy Euro" OCTOBER 17th!!

Got my pair today from Sports Authority.
They are what I expected.
These are getting beat TF up.

Anytime the Nephews wanna ball at the park, I'm killing them in these.
 
Saw them in person last night and in pictures I was meh on the V8s and wanted to cop the USAs but after seeing them both in person I'm getting the V8s! They look 10x better in person than in pics.
 
Really like the way these fit, I find that lacing the 8 up tight in the front where the flywire is and using that first loop to hold it, then loose the rest of the way to be the most comfortable. I still tie my laces so you know what I mean. But extremely comfortable none the less
 
V8 came in today & wow.
As much as I disliked this shoe from the start and only got these to add to the on going KD collection since the KD3, these are by far the most comfortable pair yet.
Will I play in them with them being so low I'd say no. So still think for playing ball in the V us the best but these feel great.

Will use them at weekend for shoot around, see what they are like but I have more than turned.
I had so much negative thoughts towards these when the very first pic released.

Was gonna say mine came in today too, initial impression is a little bit less comfortable than the VII, but still very good. Really like the flyweave on them, and they felt nice on feet at my gym session tonight. 

Will play in these Friday and I can't wait!
 
Tried on my pair of V8s and walked around to break them in a bit, and they felt really nice.....my only real bee is actually getting my foot in.

Saw these pics on that box in the corner and thought "damn Nike might have actually made a great colorway for these" then I read the post :frown:
 
These shoes feel amazing and look great in person. Would have copped a couple days ago if I didn't just buy the Curry One Lows to play in.

The upper isnt thin at all and doesnt look like its gonna rip fast. And no glue stains.
Patiently waiting for the purp/green pair doe.

You should have bought that pair. The upper isn't thick at all and I've seen the glue stains around that midsole part. Maybe I gotta go back and look again. I had the exact opposite experience when I inspected them.
 
Keep in mind I've been wearing runners the past 3 years, which all have much thinner uppers than the kd8 so it seems normal to me
 
Played in these last night, first 90 mins were great but the last 30 my left foot was in so much pain along the outside.. today that same spot is in pain too, not a great start even if it is just some initial break in pain.

I tried on V8's yesterday and i thought they seemed a little tight. I'm going to wear them to the Gym after work and see if i can break them in some.
 
footlocker has the following pair listed to release next saturday the 25th

Total Orange/Black/Volt/Bright Crimson

a week away and no picture at all to go off of?
