Not first job out of college, first job, period. No college degree, just a high school diploma. Do you think he'll ever land one or just have a really hard time finding one? I was talking to him about this and told him if you're 25 and finally looking at getting your first job, it'll be tough because emplyers will be wondering what you're doing for all those years. Just wanna know your thoughts. Thanks.

And if you're wondering, he didn't do anything. Just bummed around at home or kicked it with friends.

Tell him to volunteer first and try to network and get a letter of recommendation or atleast to use as a reference.

He sound like the type to use the full seasoning packet in his ramen growing up

How is this even possible? Dude minus whale stay at home til he's in his 40's and get a part time job at Petco when he turns 38.

He'll find a job.

But chances are high he'll be working with people in or fresh out of high school

Honestly, it's not that hard to land a job at 25 with no experience ( but that heavily depends on where you live). He can literally watch a days worth of YouTube videos on bartending for example, scavenge craigslist or just go from bar to bar and ask if they have any barback shifts (bartender assistant, set up the bar, buss the venue, make syrups and garnishes, breakdown the bar) to get his foot in the door. Soon enough he'll be bartending and within the first 6 months he'll have met at least 5 bar managers at other venues for potential gigs. Any major metro area and I'm confident this would work.

A lot of the references above are about careers, which is another story all together, but McDonald's ain't the only option for someone with zero experience is all I'm saying.

a hs diploma, assuming he's an american citizen.. he'll find a job not a well paying one tho

Imma help out a dude who just now decided to get a job because his girl/fam cut him off. Nah b

I'm really interested in how this is possible.

Is his family loaded?

Was he a street cat.

I mean even living at home for 7 years post HS, how was he able to get around, get yambs, buy socks n draws?

Is he fat?

I wouldn't hire him. There are plenty of other people that have experience by that age.

No, his family's not loaded. No, he's not a street cat, either. As for the last bit, his parents. They would give him $20-50 each time he goes out and his parents would give him a lift and we (his friends) would give him a ride home since he lives on the way back to all of our houses.

so in the 7 years since graduating highschool did he learn any skills? what are his interests?

He's a bum, he won't last a month in any job, dude is conditioned to have everything handed to him by his parents and even his friends...he's ****in disgusting bro...I don't know how he can even look himself in the mirror...no lie.

Tell him to volunteer first off, and look into any trade schools or in his area

I know a ton of slackers that turn their lives around by becoming plumbers and electricians

If he is willing to hustle and work hard now, he has a chance

you're not a real TSwift fan if you haven't had 1989 on repeat for a week, have you had 1989 on repeat for a week, OP?
