OFFICIAL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Thread - DK,FD vol. Addictive Personalities Beware

I'm not usually in here  , but..

I like Colon and Stroman tonight outside of the obvious (Greinke). Stroman has been pretty good since returning including a 4H, 3R game against NYY a little over a week ago.

Revere, Goins and Smoak if they play for the Jays against Nova tonight. He's been getting torched by lefties. I'll load up on lefties in the Mets lineup too (Duda, Murphy, Granderson, Johnson) against Perez. For the Red Sox/Rays, Bogaerts, Bradley, Castillo and Pedroia hit lefties pretty well.

The Nats seem to have already been mentioned in here.

For the W's, sure. They don't really have any K upside though. Stroman does but he hasn't shown it since coming back.

Smoak is in.

I wouldn't play a Met unless they were under $2500.

They are all over the place right now.

Risk is way to high with the reward being a base hit, a double if you are lucky.

So Greinke is out? Smh

I need another pitcher to pair with Scherzer then. It's so hard cause each one of them has questions.

It's so hard to pass on CarGo @$4100 but his attitude right now doesn't show he's anywhere near breaking out of his slump. He's so frustrated

$4100 though, man....

It's just another weird night for pitching, especially with Greinke now out.

Ventura is back to his old ways with walks, low IP's and facing the hottest offense in the league.
Lynn hasn't struck out more than 3-4 in 5 of his last 6 and his hard hit % skyrocketed.
Kluber's workload is up in the air.
Scherzer is allowing a lot more HR's lately and BAL has an elite wOBA against RHP's.

It'll be a crap shoot. Bad guys like Conley, Finnegan, Hendricks or Stroman are gonna end up being on GPP winning rosters.

Seriously might just roll w Hendricks. I can't trust anyone else MORE for cash. Like you said everybody is in a risky matchup

yeah same and Kluber as the SP2

Conley could be an OK punt play tonight as well

Not a chance of rain or a high wind to be found… other than in MIN:
CLE @ MIN – The good news here is that the bulk of the rain/storms should arrive around or after midnight… the bad news is that we still could see scattered showers and a few storms ahead of that main storm cluster, which means we still might have to dodge raindrops. At this point, with it being the only game to face weather problems, I would think about building line-ups without this game, then tweak lineups back to it if it clears up… ORANGE / YELLOW… with the potential for that color to move either way. First glance is “I don’t much like it… especially for pitchers”, but a lot can change between now and lock.
MIL @ CHC – Just because it’s Wrigley I’ll throw in the winds here, even if it’s not impressive. 5-10mph from the NE, that’s blowing IN from center.

He got one more update before line up lock. But I'm staying away from the Cleveland / Minnesota game

The only game worth watching and worrying about is Minny… and I’m not sure it’s worth the risk:
CLE @ MIN – First let me start with the positives… there is some hope for this game. Live radar shows a moderate area of clearing following the rain that is clearing now, and forecast models are fairly consistent in keeping the heaviest of the rain JUST east of MIN. The issue here is the lack of any true dry air. Even as this initial batch of rain clears, there’s still a chance for more rain to form, and there’s still another large swath of rain just beyond that clearing we are seeing now. So essentially, we are hoping for a few things: 1) The rain clears. 2) no more rain develops in the area of clearing. 3) The larger area of rain upstream from the clearing holds off long enough to play an entire baseball game. Do I think it can happen? Sure. Do I think it’s worth the risk with a full slate of otherwise fine MLB games? No, I don’t. I’m putting this at straight ORANGE… and I’m close to going Orange/Red, but I’m holding off. I’ll see how the next round of forecast models handles thing in the coming hour and maybe I’ll tweak the color slightly, but for me, this is a “not worth the risk” in cash games.
MIL @ CHC – 5-10mph from the NE, that’s blowing IN from center, but not too strong.

FWIW, tomorrow’s game looks to be a sure washout with near-record rainfall anticipated throughout the day. The teams NEED this game to happen tonight, which tells me they are likely to play the game, potentially through several delays if needed. Kluber becomes a really tough play, but I wouldn’t be overly scared to play the bats, if you like them.
I’m clearly the lesser Kevin of weather punditry and any losses as a result of what I’ve written may be tax deductible, but there is a lot of nuance to whether or not this game gets played. If it doesn’t, it won’t be for a lack of trying.

I wouldn't use Kluber FWIW.
