OFFICIAL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Thread - DK,FD vol. Addictive Personalities Beware

Thanks. I was trying to look for those 50/50 games. Guess I'll check them out once I get on lunch break

Stefon Diggs might be a sneaky play vs chiefs who's last at defending WR's if Mike Wallace is out.

Only 4.5K on FD

is it bush league to put in a DK lineup on a thursday slate, pick a couple guys from tonight's games, and then stack a bunch of bums who won't play just to edit them out by sunday for the sole purpose of messing with ownership percentages? not that there's any advantage in doing so

Some helpful articles I've come across since I'm a noob to DFS as well.

Definitely stay away from the large tournaments at first, it might be easy to say "Ehh, five bucks here, five bucks there, no big deal and maybe I'll hit" but I wasted a few entries on those big tournaments when I'd rather have spent it in a 50/50. This week I'll probably enter one GPP tournament just cause I'll be bored and want to make a team, but I won't go crazy. I'll play more 50/50s this week.

yep. play a couple cash games, pick your best lineup out of those, and throw it in a GPP and pray.

And it seemed obvious once I read it, but I didn't think about it until later.. but for the GPP, you need variance. It's not enough to have a team that scored a lot of points, you need a unique team that scores a lot of points to separate yourself from the rest of the pack.

So high ceilings for GPP and high floors for cash.

you sure you're new at this?

but yeah, play it "safe" in cash games, and be more "risky" in GPPs. you're not the only guy who's going to have leveon bell so when he scores, you're not gaining significant ground on anyone. on the other hand, when you're the guy who takes doug martin (like last week), and he grossly outscores an eddy lacy, that's where you win you're GPPs.

Considering I only won one contest out of like 6 I entered last week.. yeah I'm pretty new

I've just tried to do as much research and learning as I can.

My bankroll is quite small and I'm only risking a little each week.. I'm sure it'll just take me winning a few times to feel the urge to put more money in, but I've always had good self control with gambling, it's never been my vice.

Going with Mariota in both my tourney entries. Should destroy Miami like every else has and I think people will sleep on him. I am, however, considering Hoyer.

Who else thinks Staffords a good play this week? Stocks at an all time low....got a nice march up at home....got a feeling dudes gonna go off

It's low for a reason though bro. As much analytics people put into DFS you still want to watch these guys play to get a feel for performance yourself.

Lions offense has been horribly predictable to the point defensive opponents are telling Lions players that they know/knew exactly what plays were going to be called. No TE option at all with Ebron out, Bell isn't a factor & Abdullah isn't at that RB1 point yet & Stafford is an easy fade for me.

Add $500 & get the Red Rifle- son has been killing it this year. If the $ is funny roll with Bortles or Hoyer IMO

think benjamin is gonna be a good fade this week, leaning maybe towards Decker, more consistent.

highest yards by a WR vs. Denver - 87.

I'm pretty sure he meant which is the best of the three, just with bad placement of his punctuation.
I'd recommend going to rotogrinders.com and searching their site; there are a good amount of articles explaining the ins and outs & fundamental strategy for beginners.

The best advice I give is to not even attempt tourneys for several weeks because you'll be throwing money away. There are tons of free contests with league/head-to-head available to cut your teeth on. When you do start playing for actual money, don't wager anything you'd want to slap yourself for losing. If you can afford to lay $100 games and not blink then cool. But generally don't play if you would deeply regret losing it.

Yes it was just the placement.

probability of a Lacy TD is low. 86% of GB touchdowns were passes.

Arian Foster is a very good sleeper play this week.
