NT how do you be fashionable on a budget? vol. brokebois n college students enter

I read somewhere that you had to make atleast 80k to be decent in San Fransico.

Thought it would be the same for New York. Still... 6k/month just for rent? FOH.

For the amount here in Vegas, you'll be in an acre lot, 7000+ sqft. mansion :lol:

What's "decent" tho?
To some ppl, living decent is a deluxe apartment in the sky.
To others, it's living in a basement eating ramen noodles, doing sexual favors to get by

all depends where you stay in New york. if you want to stya downtown or mid town or in a awesom eupscale area then it will cost more vs staying outside of the city

Look online. The places that is going for 6k a month are very upscale places. For a decent nice spot you pay around $2k a month for 1000 sq feet. Take a look here http://www.zillow.com/homes/for_ren...93,-73.305588,40.399902,-74.651413_rect/9_zm/

People in CA and NY  -->> Good spots close to downtown or upscale suburbs pay alot more. They also are alot fo rich people there an dpeople there tend to make more money then other people in other states

it all evens out basically

come on man, you acting like the whole new york pay 6k month in rent..6k a month is probably those very upscale places dowtown or in suburb areas big places

Average rent there is probably around 2k for 1000 sq ft

anybody can get by with 80k anywhere

That's crazy!

My old neighborhood in Hawaii turned into a master community.

Me and Wifey went house shopping during our vacation. The houses were like $1.2 million :x
 
Wait for sales. I'm the farthest thing from cheap but at this point I feel silly buying clothes at full price. There's deals every week from good stores, no point in buying at full price unless that item specifically will rarely ever go on sale.

Other than sales, use stores like Uniqlo for basic tees. It's like 5 bucks per tee. For shoes, since you're into streetwear, Roshes, Vans, Chucks are all pretty cheap. Never ordered from there before but Asos has crazy markdowns. They have chinos for like 10 bucks. But yeah, other than that I'd just wait for sales and good promos.

No one I know in NY is spending 6K on rent.

The cost of living in SF is ridiculous. I'd think $80k would get you a decent 1-2 bedroom. But an actual house? Your partner better be making just as much as you.

Most people in NYC are not paying 6k a month. Thats some my parents got Ms type rent or I got Ms type rent.

But for the person that makes good money and work in the city you might as well get a mortgage outside of NYC and commute everyday

And even if you wanna be in the Mix getting a place in gentrified brooklyn or somewhere else would cut the 6k down it'd still be expensive but not Mid town expensive.
