Going on vacation by yourself ? Vol. #foreveralone

I have a week off in July id I plan to go yo Cali that week but I probably couldn't go most places cuz I'm only 20

^to be honest, fisherman's wharf is the most overrated place to visit in SF. Keep this as a very low priority cause it's just a typical tourist trap you can find in any coastal city (overpriced mediocre seafood, candy stores, souvenir shops, etc). Pretty much nothing to do there.

You should definitely come during baseball season, even if you're not interested in baseball. TONS of people are out partying all day at all the bars near ATT Park, and there's a lot of transplants in the Bay Area so there's a good chance you'll meet people from where you're from

i have a week off in two weeks...

going to San Fran & ATL for a day each and trying to think of another place to go...

was gonna do NOLA but flights are full and i'll be on stand by

need another major city to visit that has decent public transit or i can at least chill and walk around for the day

maybe Seattle or Portland but I don't know.

you'll miss out on a lot waiting for people...go visit friends or explore a place on your own...

when your vaca is over you don't want to be mad you stayed home the whole time just cuz no one else is available...
What airline are you flying? And did you look at BTR for the NOLA flight

Also I'm always traveling along. I have no problem with it,trying to get my boy to head to NYC with me in two weeks.

When I stayed in LA I took the bus everywhere. Sucks tho takes over an hour and there's some freaks on there. Stay in Hollywood or Santan Monica and you can bus and walk around to a lot of places. Even rodeo drive and Beverly hills.

United but I can hop on any airline that flies there...i didnt think of BTR cuz i'm not sure how far they are from each other...i just came up with all this about two weeks ago lol

that sucks...i'm going in a week and trying to keep it to a day trip...if i like the city i definitely have no problem coming back once baseball season starts

anything else I should check out while there?

Baton rouge is like 60 miles from NOLA. And you are flying standby right? Do you know what type stand by you are flying. Revenue or none revenue?

Edit
See if you can get on American eagle or US Airways

*Raises hand*

Currently in Barcelona, Spain for a few weeks dolo. :pimp:

Went to the club last night by myself for the first time with no idea what to expect.

Literally wasn't a moment all night where I didn't have someone to talk to and I was there from 2am-7am.

In general I've enjoyed traveling the city by myself just taking things in.

I'd do it. Sometimes chillin dolo is so necessary. Vacation w your girl is good too though. Just booked flights to Istanbul + Athens with shorty. Can't wait.

This club called Pacha by the beach? Real commercial near Opium and a lot of other clubs that look like they draw an international crowd. I've learned since from locals that there are better spots to hit up.

Going out in a minute with a group, idk where we're going but it sounds like it will be a lot more true to actual Barcelona?

Bruh to be completely honest youngdoc youngdoc the occasional post you've shared over years about your travels are a part of the reason why I'm here.

Having traveled a lot by myself I now loathe traveling with others. I find I can be much more observant therefore enjoying myself more when Im going to a new country solo then going with a group where we spent 90% of the time talking. In a group setting I cant notice crap

Time alone on a vacay is something I crave the most in life right now. So bad I enjoy traffic aka freeway therapy. Work 6 days a week for nearly 7 yrs, 5 kids and a wife.
Would love to visit N Africa region

It's probably the best next to traveling with a "soulmate" that you're in tune with. Enjoying new things at your pace, on your timetable. Big group trips suck for that reason, too much waiting, not enough action.
