Yeah the polyurethane casing over the midsole is a bad idea. Sucks if you pick a black midsole and use a clear sole, makes the outsole look darker than they do in the rendering. Luckily there isn't a lot of glue that you'll see through the midsole/outsole.

Nike got caught up trying to show all the tech in the shoe. Gimmicks Galore. That casing is a bad idea. I don't mind just seeing the zoom in the heel. All that other stuff I can live without.

for thsoe who got the the 2 tone with the black medial side of the shoe, and white outside.
obviously with the black swoosh picked, the inside sucks cause its all black. would be nice if it was a white swoosh.
I hear the Angelus paint is THE paint to use? Is it easy to do for someone who hasn't done it at all, and does it hold up or does it start to come off after a while etc? i checked some vids and they got you buying these different materials and components. i aint got time for that lol
theres no just one bottle in white and im done?
might just find someone local to do it. shoudlnt be that much just to paint 1 swoosh, but maybe also the kobe logo on the tongue too. anyone in the Bay Area?

Angelus is the way to go. You should be fine...just take your time and expect to put in multiple thin coats. I'd go flat white or white and plan to order duller as well

Typically it's pretty straight forward on use. Just paint it on and you're good to go. But other variables are multiple coats and how long you let it dry before the next coat. Just use some blue tape on the flyknit and you'll be good.

I made my IDs last wednesday and still haven't received the we've started on your order email. I asked them and they said I should have gotten it since its been processed and already have been approved to be created. (They don't know when it was started but before last Friday) should I be worried? All the IDs I've done have arrived within 2 1/2 weeks.

You shouldn't be worried at all. They're wildly inconsistent with the emails. But you shouldn't expect to get em in 2 1/2 weeks either, thats the absolute best case scenario

My ID's came in. Glad I went with smoked transparent sole. It blends well with the off white "dirty" midsole. I put metallic silver speckles on the midsole and they came out perfect can barely see them but when you do they're metallic so semi-reflect light.
Two of the gold swooshes came scratched up so I'm going to contact Nike iD and see if I can get a replacement pair remade.

colors definitely look painted on. the tongue is much more vibrant in color which makes the flyknit look even worse. best to go w/ a black tongue if you iD a asymmetrical pair IMO

I ordered my ID's on July 2nd and didn't get the "We've started making your order" email until July 17th so I wouldn't worry if I were you.
