I would say go same size.  I wear a 10 in the regular Kobe X and Elite X, and the only difference is the Elite and Elite ID are a tiny bit more snug, but it's not that drastic in my opinion.

If you have narrow feet, go same size. If you already feel some snugness (especially near the balls of your feet and near your big toe) or have long break-in time in the 5am's then go half size up for Elite ID's just to be safe.  Probably could go same size, but it depends on your tolerance for snugness (pain?) and how long you want to take to break it in. If it's something like the MC's and it's possible they'll sell out, might as well just try up half a size and worst case scenario wear thicker socks or add another insole, otherwise, you'll be SOL when they're gone and they don't fit.

If you can, there should be plenty of stock of the Chesters (orange) and whatever the green/black ones are called and probably some Mambacurials in stores still too if you want ot try them on.
 
no one really has a legit info about the mc's. all the previous ones turned out to be not the mc's. starting to think there's no mc this year.
