Eh. Not crazy about it being painted, but I think the other option woulda been that they would have had to sew the medial side to the lateral side, and who knows, maybe that would have driven up the cost. I know, the cost is already high, but maybe it woulda been higher. Regardless, from what I see of the black medial version MC I am very excited to get mine.

Otherwise, I have liked the X a lot - I love the FK highs and lows and own multiple pairs of several CW's. The mesh version didn't appeal to me as much, but I picked up a few. I actually like the midsoles on the GR's - the dark on the Drills, the greenish on the Mambacurials, etc.

And frankly, I'm kinda glad there were less CW's than the IX - I spent way way too much on the IX.

I think the multi looks great but the black looked off from the first pic. Thats what I was referring to. I don't think it was the filter. I saw the fade in the toe. I was hoping it was something else though. I still hope it's just this guys pair. :smile:
 
Black medial side isn't perfect by any means, but doesn't make me regret going with the black, the contrast looks good against the MC. 

Still want to see the MC on the black midsole, I'm sure pics will be coming, I think I'll be happy with my choices.

@AndersonJames  I agree wth you too. I love the model overall; mesh and flyknit. The IDs have been a little disappointing though.

I think, even if Nike had raised the price to cover the cost of sewing black flyknit, they would have sold just as many. They already raised the price by 5 dollars. 

All that said, I'll probably be keeping them :/.

Yeah clearly it woulda driven up cost and that's why they chose not to do it. It just sucks because it's so obvious that you can see them trying to cut corners. I feel like they're trying to pass something off to the consumer assuming it won't be noticeable or they don't even care if it's noticeable. Either way it's kinda insulting. It's all good though, we have the option to return them and if mine look like crap then that's exactly what will happen. 
 
All ids returned get sold for $40 no matter the model so Nike loses over $200 in profit on this model

Yes it is.  My initial thought was to make two pairs and keep the one I like the most.  That probably won't be happening. LOL

Damn it's one thing to paint the flyknit black but to leave a large chunk unpainted at the top of the toebox - a focal point - and to top it off, it looks like the paint is smudged is disappointing.  Hope my pair at least comes fully painted smh

^Same issue I had with my Black/White asymmetrical. I went grey with the MC because that looked the best by itself. Can't wait to see more pairs arrive though.
 
Wow I wouldn't have been surprised if the other colors were painted but to paint the black??? damn :x :smh:

MC weave looks beautiful, I would've copped had I been able to see that originally as I was fully on the "all MC or nothing" bandwagon. Maybe they will restock but if not, I hope everyone's pairs turn out nice.
 
Yeah the multi weave itself looks great. I'm went grey and black as well. I wish I ordered two grey tho. Hopefully my black pair is fully painted. I might just do it myself lol.
