Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Pretty disappointed by the show so far, and I didn't even have very high expectations.
if you don't like the show and didn't have good expectations for it then why are you:

A: watching it

B: in this thread posting about it

?

If you're dissapointed in the show then I'm convinced you didn't even watch Breaking Bad.

I'm saying, I was hooked when Saul was working at Cinnabon and crying at his house watching his old commercials. If that part doesn't give you chills then you prolly just watched BB cause everyone else was watching it.

I've watched breaking bad a few times through. Top 3 TV show of all time. Maybe the best, honestly. By not having high expectations I meant I wasn't expecting something close to breaking bad. But there are plenty of great shows that aren't close to breaking bad... I think this will probably be a good show, I'm gonna continue to watch it. I just don't think the first three were all that great. All I was saying was that so far I'm not too impressed. There's still plenty of time left for the show to impress me.

i have a Breaking Bad related confession.

i didn't even start watching it until last year. when the entire series was on Netflix.  Of course i loved it from beginning to end and binge watched the entire thing in like 10 days.

but over the years people always told me how great it was and i just never gave it a chance. i had seen like random 10 minute clips when i would be at a buddies house and just thought Jesse Pinkman was annoying and i wouldn't like the show

so yea i guess i ****** that one up. but it was pretty great to be able to watch the entire thing on Netflix without having to wait for the next episode once i did finally get into it

Nothing beats binge watching man. Nothing. I started on BB after like the second season ended. Binge watched the first two then watch 3 til the end as they came out. But immediately after the last episode I started from the beginning and watched the whole thing again in like 2 weeks.

This show is really really really well done.
Saul is so likeable isn't he.
Biggest show devit in cable History?
I knew that was coming since they have ALL of the BB crowd and then the new watchers.

Vince Gilligan striking out on a show in the future doesn't seem plausible

Are these his only 2 shows?

This one really isn't fully his show.

He has one other project on the horizon but he himself said he's gonna play it smart and hold off a while before his next serious effort.

I still don't know why he just doesn't do a movie. It will make more than enough money than it costs to make it just with his name attached, one great actor, and a good trailer.

He had a big influence on the X-Files after he came on board.... I'm a huge X-Files fan and there are tons of similarities... Camera angles, b&w shots, lots more I can't think of atm...

Btw, Bryan Cranston got his role as Walter White because of a role he did on X-Files...

Opening scene was definitely a flashback, a brick cell phone was one of the items chuck dropped in the tray. Also chuck looked a lot younger.
I definitely didn't piece together the camping sticker. To the people pointing out the edible arrangement slipup, i wouldn't be surprised if somehow vince planned that.

It took me a good 5 episodes to really get sold on BB,and this show already has my attention. Possibly because I know how good bb was.

First 2 epsiodes were alright to me, however that 3rd episode had me on the edge of my seat, it's getting good :smokin
