Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Wasnt that extremely obvious?

Walt had that specific plant growing in his backward.

LMAO.

We know it was Walt's idea.. but it has been speculated that Saul put the berry in Brock's juice box.

Key phrase - "exactly how"

Pretty sure Vince Gillian spoke on it before the scenario he imagined.

But everything doesn't need to be spelled out all the time. It's really not that big a deal.

I thought this was gonna be a half hr comedy to make a little extra money and explore Saul's background but this being a hr means I'm gonna be locked in for another great series.
YES!

Looks to be a bit more serious that I expected, which is a great thing. Can't wait. Hope to see Bill Burr pop up again eventually.

I'll give anything Vince Gilligan writes a shot. Dude can do no wrong in my eyes after BB.
Vince isn't writing this but he's supported and probably a exec producer on this.

I'll just say it: The first few episodes that I saw are better than Breaking Bad. They are smarter. They are sharper. I have never seen a prequel handled so cleverly. What we know from the previous series about Saul Goodman, or James McGill as he is known in Better Call Saul, provides a kind of counterintuitive suspense mechanism. In the very first shot, in silent black and white, we see the ruins of Saul Goodman after the action of Breaking Bad, just as he said he would be. He's working at a Cinnabon in a mall, terrified of anyone slightly threatening who walks into the store. The question for the plot is: How did he become this way? How did he fail so catastrophically?

So pumped.

VInce didn't write much of Breaking Bad anyways... He created it, and over saw it.
But they have a writing team with certain writers spearheading at times.
He wrote half of season 1, then pretty much the first and last eps of each season.

When you look at his resume he's written some of better eps of the series.

Pumped!

I'd love to see a Walt or Jesse cameo tonight or tomorrow, but I have a feeling the show will try to establish it's own identity first IF they do end up making a cameo at some point this season

Agreed, sighting of any main BB character that early would be a major distraction, would be shocked to see much connections until the show is able to carry its own weight.

Doubt the writers need to resort to cameos to keep their audience, given the following BB (and even Saul) has developed. Looking fwd to artfully done cameos though

He spoke on it at comic con before the final season.
Didn't mean to make it seem like a big deal.
I totally agree with you though. Some things are better off not explained. It can make the story richer if you ask me.

If there is a season of BCS that takes place during BB then it wouldn't surprise me if there is a subtle reference or maybe even a story arc of the poisoning of Brock.
