Yeah it looks like they are setting up how mike and jimmy become closer. Jimmy will help mike with his legal problems/help him have visitation privileges with his grand daughter. And in return, mike will become a hitman for him??? I don't know, show needs a little more action the next episode. WHere the criminals at hahaha?

we just had tuco chill

the bad guys of this season is clearly chuck & tuco's hommie who thinks saul snitched on him (mike should save his back on this favor)

season 2 is setting it up for Gus & his background  i bet ...hell even t throw hank back in the mix since gus was a police supporter in the community...might even see Walter cameo since gus was spying on him since day 1(would save that for season 3 tho)

The show is set in 2002 man. I doubt we'll ever get a heavy crossover where this show is setting up or showing scenes we never saw for what we already saw go down in BB.

So none of that Gus having ppl spy on Walt. Walt don't even have cancer yet.

I'd rather this show stand on it's own. All those tie ins are way too heavy handed. Jimmy's story is intriguing enough thus far.

it seems like the only three things jimmy cares about are money, kim, and chuck. chuck and kim are the only things keeping jimmy moral, and we've seen glimpses of that throughout the show. we've seen him be ashamed of immoral actions around chuck especially (the newspaper thing) and sometimes around kim. we've also seen money make him act immoral- taking the bribe and trying to make hamlin upset in the latest episode by threatening to commit chuck.

so, money makes him immoral and chuck/kim make him moral. but the show is called better call saul, not better call jimmy. so we expect him to be saul by the end of the first season, right? what's the difference between saul and jimmy? a name, and morality. saul is a criminal pretending to be a lawyer. jimmy is a lawyer pretending (to himself) to be a criminal.

so what happens to make him become saul? well, we've learned that episode 9 is supposed to be heartbreaking. we know that the synopsis for episode 10 says chick needs to "get used to a new way of life." but jimmy committing saul is too obvious and boring of a choice. so to me it only makes sense that chuck is in jail. but what would make jimmy so heartbroken about that? he's considering committing chuck, and jail wouldn't be that much different. the only other thing is kim. chuck, whether out of anger for some as-of-yet unseen development or in a fit of allergic-to-electricity freakoutness, kills kim. in fact, the scene where the doctor proves chuck isn't allergic electricity might have importance in the criminal trial.

maybe kim is in chucks house and it burns down, referenced in the last episode as well. he goes to jail for violating fire codes, neglect, etc.

jimmy changes his name to saul as a way of 1: distancing himself from his brother, 2: abandoning his morality, and 3: making a name for himself outside of mcgill.

mark my words, by the end of the season, kim will be dead, and chuck will be responsible, and jimmy will become saul.

My friend who watches the show txts me mad fast when he sees Mike buy the maxi-pad and says what if Mike is really a ******

I think something big happens in this episode. Feeling like the last three episodes were readying us for something great.
