Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

I just realized Todd form Last Man on Earth is the old friend of Jimmy that helped him with the con

Doing what work? He found/started the case, but the WORK hasn't even begun. That's why they went to HHM in the first place.

Cashing out, for 20K + 20% back end, on a 20+ million dollar lawsuit, he's lookin at a couple hundred grand lowball settlement wise. And he doesn't lift another finger.

**** yeah I would cash that out.

It's not just about the money. This was Jimmy's true chance at really becoming the lawyer he's worked so hard to be. Sometimes pride and recognition > money.
Yeah his rep would've skyrocketed.

Even if HHM didn't give him a position there his name on that case would've got him job offers from other top law firms.

Jimmy had a dream. So cash aint everything in this situation.

While thinking over last night's episode today, I thought about this possibility -- I remembered earlier when "Hamlin" wanted Jimmy to change his name when, as it has been revealed, that it was Chuck who wanted him to relinquish the name to eliminate any public association with Slippin' Jimmy.

I "almost" wonder if Howard isn't as bad as we thought.

He's the one taking the fall for Chuck's actions, he's the one that looks like a douchebag, but he really might just be Chuck's mouthpiece.

He told Jimmy to take the deal, he even offered to bump it up a smidge to calm him down, he cleared the room to be fair to Jimmy, he even told his friend in private when she blamed him.

I don't like Howard, but I wonder if maybe he isn't as bad as he's been made to look.

Yeah, I think most of it was Chuck, and he has no real animosity towards Jimmy. He's been playing the bad guy.

I think that's why he told Kim, because he has a conscience about it.

**** Chuck bruh...

Straight up... He a *** for that..

Letting jimmy go into the conference room and look stupid...

Meanwhile this ***** looking like a breakfast burrito and scared of garage door openers.

Chuck is a hater. He could not even get Jimmy an Associate level position and have him work his way up through the firm?

Passing the bar is just that regardless of how he got there. The irony that Jimmy's idol and moral conscious turns out to be the driving force of his transformation into Saul.

I'm saying...

Dude acting the main goal of law school ain't passing the bar...

You can go to Georgetown Law.... But if you fail the bar... You ain't a lawyer, b.

Chuck mad because Jimmy got more skills than him... Point blank

I thought Jimmy was grabbing a handful of mass when kim hugged him at the end. i was in the other room and it looked like he did, then he said something like "that was sweet!" had to rewind it , would have been kinda funny

and also, Chuck seems to dislike the charisma of Jimmy. He'll never be as charismatic, funny, well liked as Jimmy. Just plain old jealous all around.

You're late by a couple pages. Also, he isn't just Trevor's voice, they're physically identical as well.

The actor that voiced Lester in GTA V wasn't the actor that played Pryce (the guy Mike worked for).

it was already discussed. more than once.

what i don't get is why chuck was so eager to help jimmy out with the class action case in the first place. did he want the case to ultimately end up at HHM, or was it just a convenient mishap since it got so large? if so, chuck is a ******* scumbag, no way around it. he's a jealous hater, too.

yeah, jimmy didn't go to a great school. even he's aware that the school he took classes from isn't the type of school the associates at HHM got their degrees from. but passing the bar is passing the bar, and he's created a slam dunk case with his own hands. and he couldn't even get offered a paralegal position. all cause of chuck. if that doesn't speak volumes of chuck's character, then i don't know what will. to the guy saying he doesn't see what chuck did wrong and that all he spoke were hard truths. still, jimmy has shown that he wants to better himself. all the drive, dedication and hard work he put in to study and become a lawyer while working in the mail room is proof of that. sure, chuck is probably a better lawyer and entrepreneur since he built his own firm, but that doesn't take away from jimmy's competence to perform his own job. and i think that's what chuck thinks of his own brother. which is low.

Said from the beginning that Chuck looked like a classic "waspy" villain. The look was complete when he put on the suit and slicked his hair back.

Cloud tell Chuck was fronting on him when Jimmy told him he passed the bar. You could see his hubris,. He felt threatened and his hesitance to say he was proud of Jimmy spoke volumes. The subtle hints at Chuck not having any faith or real love for his brother is evident looking back. Great acting. The hurt seeing that the person you idolized wants to keep you down is real.

Why are dudes so mad at Chuck he's right about Jimmy we all know it he hit the nail on the head
Well the irony is that if Chuck wouldve let him in on the civil suit then Jimmy probably turns into a straight arrow and never becomes Saul.

Cant believe the season is over next week. Thought this would be a 12 ep season. :frown:

Sorry I watch it a day late online.

Looking back chucks reaction makes sense
I always felt that chucks reaction was weird when Jimmy said he passed the bar. It was like chucjl was trying to disguise his disgust with his confusion.
Barely managed to say yea I'm proud of you

what if the reason chuck was so successful is because he was always looking down on jimmy in the back of his mind?

i thought dude looked familiar. the fact he's trevor and looks and acts like him forreal is absolutely hilarious. Thinking back it makes his scene that much more money to me. And raised BCS a couple more points in my book.
