Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

what an episode :wow:

I knew Chuck felt some type of way when Saul passed the bar. Can't believe the season finale is next week.

Mike's a don nuff said and all he had was a sandwich

After a day of thinking about it there was a lot of cold hearted truth to what Chuck said. The chimp with a machine gun line was out of line.

Slipping Jimmy was someone that was always looking for a shortcut to success. The way we were introduced to
Jimmy the defense attorney, he was pretty much Slipping Jimmy with a law degree. He gave non of his clients a fair shot.

I can't remember the exact episode where he turned things around. When Jimmy finally started attempting to broker deals with prosecutors and started into elderly law. But to someone that's dealt with slipping Jimmy their entire life Sauls redemption arc is a small spec on the slipping Jimmy timeline.

At the end of the day that was some seriously messed up truths. Hopefully Jimmy changes his name to saul in the next episode

The animosity that Chuck had because Jimmy was trying to better himself :smh:

He was proud when he got a job in the mail room

I thought Kim was doing him dirty, but she didn't want him to know the truth.

Pimento

I was SMH'ing Howard Hamlin playing Saul like that in the conference room. Saying to myself, this dude always been grimey. Ever since Saved By The Bell: The College Years where, the same actor who plays Howard, played Professor Lasky and stole Kelly from Zack. ...only to find out that it was Chuck all along. That knife be sharp for Saul. :frown:

I "almost" wonder if Howard isn't as bad as we thought.

He's the one taking the fall for Chuck's actions, he's the one that looks like a douchebag, but he really might just be Chuck's mouthpiece.

He told Jimmy to take the deal, he even offered to bump it up a smidge to calm him down, he cleared the room to be fair to Jimmy, he even told his friend in private when she blamed him.

I don't like Howard, but I wonder if maybe he isn't as bad as he's been made to look.

Howard really hasn't done anything outright wrong to Jimmy. He's an egomaniac, but I really can't say he's a bad guy based on what we've seen.

He's just been doing Chuck's dirty work, it seems.

i figure jimmy and chuck will make up in the next episode, but it wont be like it was before. But they'll make peace as jim loads his last box in the car.

Chuck will be like 'hey, are we good?'

and Jim will turn his head over his should and say 'Hey, itsall good man'....and scene, roll credits.

When he was tellin Jimmy he couldn't have an office, and take it or leave it, I wanted him on the other end of one of Mike Pimento's.

Think they're done. Chuck eventually mans up and goes back to being 'normal'. Chuck's words set everything in motion for Saul to turn heel. If you can't join 'em, beat them. Probably sets up some epic court case where it's Chuck/the firm Vs. Saul in season 2 or something.

extended that olive branch after he told kim to close the door....... figured he was the puppett but ******* is ******* & he knew he was doing Jimmy wrong regardless of what space blanket is saying

id make it 50K up front & 35-40% of the final total just to play hard ball & be an *******

I think that's obvious now that we found out how Chuck REALLY felt about Jimmy even being a lawyer. I think that's why Hamlin snapped on Kim like that because he really wanted the case but Chuck didn't want Jimmy involved. It was always Chuck playing puppet master. I really think he's jealous, he knows Jimmy is a good lawyer If he really wanted Jimmy to have a seat at the table he would order it. He got a standing ovation when he came in the door, he clearly got clout.

The Fire and Ice Theory seems to prevail.

Howards whole office is blue.  Just watching that scene, made me know Howard was actually good than a scumbag.

Nacho wearing red in the drug deal scene.

This by far was one of the best episodes of the season. To think Chuck has been the mastermind behind this, that was a Vince McMahon move. The Season Finale is going to be really good.

I see it like this. Yes Jimmy does have a bad track record but the man was clearly trying to do right for once. He found something that he had an interest in and worked towards it. Chuck at the very least could've given his brother a chance to actually prove himself instead of automatically writing him off. Look at how long he's had Chuck's back. Look at how he went to bat for him at every twist and turn. I would think your own brother would give you a chance to prove you've grown.

Crazy thing is, Jimmy has shown to have an understanding of things. Chuck doesn't even have the balls to tell him that he shouldn't be in this field but has no issue letting him take care of him and make a fool of himself in front of the partners time and time again trying to keep Chuck involved in the firm he helped create. That's trifling. I was actually feeling bad for him when Chuck said what he said.

If the blue and red color scheme thing is true, then Howard was always a good guy since he always wore Hamlin Blue
