Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Gillian is a snob and a half though.
More story and less detail would be fine with me.

Like, taking 2hr 20minutes to tell me Mike followed ____ and found ______ makes me want to walk away.
Just thinking of what's happened in 20+ episodes so far and it's basically, Jimmy got his own practice.

This. And I know I know I know I know this isn't breaking bad. I get that. But damn, the first 60 seconds of breaking bad, Walt is driving the Winnebago half naked through the desert with pinkman passed out wearing a HAZMAT mask and 2 drug dealers passed out rolling around the floor in METH materials. 15 seconds after that, he tells his family goodbye, pulls a .45 out of his undies, and gets ready to blow his brains out in the middle of a New Mexican desert. So long story short, the frost 45 seconds of that show have been better than 2-and-some-change seasons of this show.

Get over it. This is a whole other genre take for this show.

Expect no action or quick escalation.

This is methodical and detailed.

:smdh Zik you kill me when you start with the "this ain't ____ and get over it" schtick

Seems like you're taking it personal that people aren't as mesmerized as you, or whatever you are with the show.
**** is mad slow whether you compare it to BB or Pond Water.
Sounds like you need to get over it not the other way around Jesus

You do this on every show that you love and others have small quirks with. Get over it man.

I don't think the show is that amazing first off and no nothing is being taken personal

But these complaints simply don't add up especially by certain posters who been on that since s1. They don't read like constructive criticism. Its either off or is the same complaint made on pg 5 repeated on pg 50.

Far from small quirks.

If I felt that way about a show I'd stop watching. I did that with The Walking dead. Stuck with it for like 3 seasons, complained but was entertained but then the show just became way ****tier than entertaining and I dipped.

Couple other shows I've done the same.

So yeah get over it. It aint for you.

Hey man, I'm over it, I'm just  at this point. I'm watching Supernatural right now, for no other reason other than to say I watched it. So yeah I'm fine with "expect no action. Expect no escalation"

Personally, I love the attention to all the details. The foreshadowing. The symbolism.
I'm enjoying the hell out of stuff like that. Going against type and what you expect. Completely makin the show it's on thing.

It'd be nothing but a rehash of somehow Jimmy was doin all sorts of crazy wild **** on the level of Walter White. People have to keep in mind the character thwyre leading up to is the one in BB. Saul was a key plot piece and there for comedic relief.

Still don't **** with the corny color theories though.

 @ Supernatural.

Show hasn't hooked me this season yet. It's been slow for three seasons. I'm ready for Jimmy's story to take off.

I think they're dragging Jimmy's story out for the sake of using that time to tell Mike's story, and to gradually work in Gus and the cartel.

But Jimmy's story is definitely dragging. It's like a lot of what happens with Jimmy doesn't have any real payoff...or at least it hasn't yet. I get that they're buiding to the moment that Jimmy becomes Saul, but it's a bit much now.

I still enjoy the show though, mostly because I care so much about the characters. I think it's safe to assume that things are going to pick up this season, considering Gus made his return last night. Just hope they pull Jimmy further into the Mike/Gus story.

What is the black kids name? Ernesto?

Dude had me rolling when he met Kim and was super nervous.

Dude said "I was going to call you but I didn't want to leave a phone record" and Kim said "Dude you just called me" and he was like "oh, yea"

His character is definitely appreciated.

Something tells me Ernie is going to play big in this season.

bruh that early scene where it was just mike watching. i was dying. like fam..please. please so something. this show is crazy slow at times.

If you complainin about how "slow" Mike is, then you aren't really graspin his character. He has BEEN this way, his entire story. He ain't applyin for a job at foot locker, he's matchin wits with a brilliant drug pusher who was in business 20 some odd years before Walt. You don't walk up and ring the damn door bell, get your brains blowed out.

They are using Mike perfectly. And it will all come together. Should be ashamed of yourselves wantin to hurry it up. :smh:

They should have an entire ep of Mike doing stakeouts.

Just staring through binoculars at the rear view mirror.

Yall lucky this show aint called Better Skype Mike. Imagine going from him taking a part his car, to finding the tracker, to his job at the parking lot, to stakeouts all day  :pimp:

I think their execution is off. That and the fact that the stakes aren't as high as they were with Breaking Bad...so watching Mike eat a whole damn apple during a stakeout kept me entertained because of the tension and what was at risk.

And I don't necessarily want it to hurry it up, they've just been playing this same game for two seasons. It's time for things to actually happen and for there to be actual stakes. Last season had some of that, but all the tension was released with the note left on Mike's car. We wait for the next season, and by the time it comes, all that tension from last season is gone. They didn't even really capitalize off last season's cliffhanger (yet). There are more questions to be answered.

I think the fact they they were so blatant with Gus coming back this season adds to it, too. We all know where this is going...at least make it entertaining while we're heading there.
