Well it's not really odd or surprising.
Part of your enjoyment of this show is that you watched BB.
Side by side though I'd say they're two different shows genre wise.
Plus we already know about the tons of ppl that weren't in to BB the first few seasons, thought it was boring or w/e and only got in to the show cuz they caught up with it on netflix.
