Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Great ep but Chuck did the heavy lifting.

 @ Saul dumpster diving for nothing. 3 steps forward and there's the recycle bin. Him acting like he's at the opera

I really liked this ep for the thinking and connecting the dots in their head to make this case. Really liked Chuck helping out. He's a good bro and I knew getting back to work take his mind off his disease.

When son blurted out 20 mil after looking shook the entire time  Then his reasoning was so on point. I had completely ignored this ep was named RICO. I was half expecting a Mexican named Rico to show up or something. That Chuck made is a Rico case out of this fraud is wild. Totally on point.

Loved Jimmy trying to get his cease and desist on in the bathroom. Almost thought it was gonna work. Son should've just used the back of the yellow paper though.

**** Kim clearly.

I always figured it be pretty simple how Mike got back in the game. We've always knew his motives. @ yall trying to connect Gus in to this so soon and in that way. I can't buy Gus having anything to do with owning various old person's homes as a front. Makes no sense. Plus look at this scandal. He'd have these ppl killed. All his legit business were always legal if only to launder through it except if they benefited his drug empire in another way. I doubt he's smuggling meth in these old ppl's packages.

In the beginning, I'm guessing Hamlin told Jimmy he wouldn't be working at the firm at all. Then gave him bull **** about reassessing the issue in 6 months.

 @ that ending. They play up that dumb **** to real dramatic effect. I knew all this work would keep Chuck focused. Just too big of a case that he's doing with his bro. That he even picked up the electrical car key to open the trunk had me though. Son was real oblivious.

I surmised that Chuck would eventually just bow out and give Jimmy all the credit because of his contractual obligation, but the code theory makes for more drama.

^ See, that's where my main curiosity is. In Breaking Bad, he was successful... at what he did. Was he a top lawyer? No. Was he an upstanding member of the community? No. But if you needed a criminal who was a lawyer, you needed... HIM. He was the best at what he did.

So are we watching a show that evolves a loveable loser into being somewhat of a commodity, albeit an underground, despicable commodity?

Or are we simply watching a loveable loser continuously lose?

I agree, but watching his origin story play out and knowing what he will be in BB and beyond is somewhat tragic.

You can't help but root for Jimmy as he tries to do the right thing, his love and admiration for Chuck, and his relationship with Kim.

But knowing he eventually becomes Saul Goodman is a bit depressing but understandable, curious to see where the Breaking point will be in his transformation.

I sorta remember BB. Were any of the HHM crew alive or around then? It seems like this case will get stolen by HHM and out of Saul's hands, and someone ends up dead.

i like that dude is kinda honorable. like, he's kind of a dirtball and kind of an ethical guy. how he didnt spazz on the old lady or take all of her money, i dig that.

Loved how Mike gets back into the game. He heard drop in the bucket, and he was off. :smokin

Seems like this will be a convenient tie up with the girl and his brother if they stiff him. :smh:

Well she is not mentioned at all in Breaking Bad and I think we come to expect the worst when characters disappear in Vince Gilligan's world.

Of course that is just my speculation she could have been forced to re-locate by Saul for her safety or whatever reason. Maybe he gets introduced to the vacuum guy at the end of S1

such a reach that she dies. like people in real life dont just lose touch or stop talking. if she screws him on the business deal, why wouldn't he just stop rocking with her? that more realistic than she just up and dying, shes not even involved in grimey ****, she's just a typical lawyer.

I was under the impression that kim dies also. everything this guy has done in his existence as a character has been because of kim. dude BECAME a lawyer because of her. I refuse to believe that he wouldn't do everything in his power to be with her again unless she was dead.
