Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Hank/Gomie likely chasing/busting guys that Saul will eventually defend.

May not be in Season 1, but they could appear later. (Like Saul-Gus-Mike) not showing up til Seasons 2 and 3 in Breaking.

I think u guys forget that Saul is the one who put Jesse and Walt on. Not to mention he had the giant we the people office since th start of the show. So he defintely going to get rich before any BB main characters come up.

This ***** Tuco just knew the Feds was watching

"I told you the business was too good!"

No-Doze getting no respect from Tuco already :smh:

Show is off to a really good start WAY better than I imagined :pimp:

I'm seeing a lot of visual inspirations already from greats like Bertolucci. I also feel like the "you're already in the game" line from Nacho was kind of a nod to the Wire and Omar's "it's all in the game" line

Something else I noticed was the usage of the garage. As we know BB had a ton of intense interactions take place in the garage (hostages, Walt-Hank, etc) then the 2nd episode begins and we're already in a tense garage scene.

I could kinda see that. Maybe also in relation to Crazy 8 since he was the main dude they were investigating before Tuco took over.

basically a BB prequel bro

definitely. it has that BB "feel", for lack of a better term. Feels like it picked right back up. Content wise, obviously the story is before Breaking Bad actually happened.

Which reminds me.. from what I've read it's supposed to actually be "before, during, and after" Breaking Bad takes place.

:nerd:

"While there has been some talk of Better Call Saul featuring Breaking Bad characters – indeed, Mike (Jonathon Banks) has already been confirmed as a series regular – it’s so far been unclear who exactly we’ll see, when the show will take place, and what we can expect from the plot. Fortunately, executive producer Peter Gould revealed a few of those details in a recent inerview – including the fact that the spinoff will take place before, during, and after Breaking Bad.

Talking with NY Daily News, Gould said Saul will “move back and forth over several decades,” which could allow for characters like Walter White and Jesse Pinkman to make an appearance.

Said Gould:

“One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ‘Breaking Bad,’ during ‘Breaking Bad,’ and after ‘Breaking Bad.’ That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ‘Breaking Bad.’ “"

I agree. I honestly didn't know what to expect.

Very surprised to see that, stylistically, there hasn't been a drop off in the presentation from BB to now BCS.

Can't wait for episode 3. :pimp:

Imagine the middle of Season 1, show starts, Saul is sitting in his "new" office, knock on the door, in walks Jesse, sits down and starts talkin, back and forth, "yeah *****" etc etc, then rolls to the commercial.

That's considered the "during" time period.

I'll freakin cry. Literally, cry, on the spot.

THIS!!! I went into another room while the show was on last night and I thought I heard Jesse's voice yell "THAT'S RIGHT *****" I dead sprinted back into the living room like a god damned 4 year old on christmas!!! This show has the juice man. They can do whatever they want. I havent been this excited since BB was still on the air sadly

If this show is paced like BB (6 seasons = 2 "real" years) we've got a looooong way to go before the 'ol gang shows up.

i think itd be funny if they showed saul around for other events that happened in BB like

saul defending krazy 8's cousin

saul at the gas station walt blew up

saul workin w the fake heisenberg

etc
