Getting hammered AGAIN this week :smh: crappy start to the season for me.

Many thanks for your 7.67 points Mr. Bolsinger.

You have now been dropped for Kyle Lobstein  .

First year doing MLB seriously and damn it's fun. 2-3 right now but after making trades and FA, been able to put together a great team.

One thing I hate is the commish of my league made pitching stupid. One "meh" game will give pitches negative points.

Honestly I usually try and stay away from trades, mostly because I don't want to spend the time to devise anything or the ones that get thrown my way are pretty bad, but I had both Grandal and McCann and shot offers for Souza straight up for either guy.  While I don't think Souza will hit for average, 20/20 guys are hard to come by and he's one of the few potential ones.  The guy declined both and offered back McCann and Chase Anderson (who I picked up a week ago) for Souza and Colon.

Honestly I think I made out like a bandit.  People might think I'm overrating Souza but I think he has potential to be a great fantasy player, plus Colon has been amazing this year.  I do like Chase Anderson too though, but he's unproven thus far.

Oh.........and Kluber.

My offense bailed out Lobstein big time tonight, dropped him immediately  .

Am I foolish for using my only available roster spot on spot-starters nightly? Should I look to plug that in for a long term SP/RP, or bat? Or is it all just dependent on need?

Same here! It's so annoying.

not against the spot starter idea, just need to get quality that doesn't lose you points. If you can get someone good on the wire that's consistent, I'd consider, but it depends who you have available.

More often than not I'm hitting bad luck (i.e: Tim Hudson, Jason Marquis and now Lobstein tonight).

I do like having at least that one spot available and truly using it on a SP if I have no one/only one of my true staffers going that day.

i ran it last year in my money league with my teammate. we caught a bad break with sale and kershaw missing time early in the year but went on a tear down the stretch winning like 11 in a row, utilizing and being money with spot starters, but it still wasn't enough to make the playoffs.

To bring this up again, case and point from last night:

Roenis Elias- 6.1IP 8H 1R 1ER 2BB 2K and 1QS. Total points? 1.33  . You're telling me 1 run in 6 innings, and I'm pretty sure he left the game when it was tied... was deserving of less than even 2 full points  . Everyone in the league has complained to the commish.

And thank the lord I played Norris even with Fister starting. Canceled out that -19.00 real quick with a cool 18 of his own.

gotta imagine Jon Singleton gets called up soon for the Astros. Keep an eye on him if he does and you need power. Did poorly last year in his stint, but he's been mashing in the minors so far this year.

Damn just realized Jean Segura has a broken pinky finger and was put on the 15-day DL :smh: :smh:. 50% of my roster has been on the DL at some point this season :smh:.

what options do you have on the wire to replace him? i still like hechavaria if you need a stopgap shortstop.

I had Zack Cozart starting in my 2B/SS position so I just pivoted him over to the SS slot and put Utley in the 2B/SS slot :\. Someone did actually drop Hechavaria yesterday though so I might pick him up. Other than him though the waiver wire is bare bones.

So Billy Hamilton was dropped onto waivers in my league  and it was by the same person who dropped Buster Posey last season :smh:
