THE OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY BASEBALL THREAD

I need starting pitching. I dropped Familia for another starter because I don't have a lot of confidence the consistency of his save attempts.  But I also forgot saves were 8 points, so that's kind of an oops if he can get more than a save in any week.

im dropping walker for him if i get awarded the claim  need more consistency. familia is solid but who knows if and when he'll ever get more than 1 save a chance a week with this pathetic mets offense.

Cozart is ok. Started off hot, but cooled since. Keep an eye on Hardy, at least. He'd be serviceable once he gets rolling. Left today's game though, so I don't know if he's injured or what.

Yea I'm just going to keep an eye on the players you guys mentioned. Hechavvaria is at the top of my list right now

Surrpised they keep trotting him out there instead of just optioning him down to Triple A.

me personally, I'd look at Hechavvaria, Addison Russell or Kang.

When Iwakuma comes back, I'm almost certain they option him to AAA with how well Elias continues to pitch. At this point Walker is just a stopgap, in my opinion.

Semien, possibly. He's cooling down and is still more of an unknown. Doesn't have a track record, so it's tough to justify when we don't know if he's regressing to his mean or if its just a slump and he bounces back. That multiple position eligibility sure is nice though.
Yeah it is, especially with how injury-prone Reyes is. I have plenty of 2Bs and 3Bs already. I was leaning towards Walker or Prado, but I'm definitely considering him as well considering he could be cooling off like you said.

With Reyes healthy again, who should I drop?

I'd drop Murphy or Semien. Murphy has been lousy. Should he start doing better? Sure, but I've watched every Mets game this year and Murph has done nothing to excite me whatsoever. I don't know enough about Semien to form an opinion. I'd personally keep Walker (has good power potential) and Prado (solid utility guy in case someone gets hurt).

Yeah, he's still a kid so hopefully he can go down there, get his confidence up, improve his secondary stuff, maybe work on developing more of a changeup and see where that takes him.

Trevor Bauer and Dellin Betances were both dropped in my league this morning. Either of them worth a pickup?

Here's who I have now:
I like Bauer over Greene personally.  If you have a weak batter you could drop them as well I'd try and pick up Betances too.

looks like i'll be going 2-6 in the NT keeper. firesale begins :smh: gonna try n Billy Beane my way into the playoffs but we'll see. Just traded Nelson Cruz for a draft pick.

Would it be plausible for me to drop Devon Travis for Joe Panik? Or should I wait for Dev to heal up? I have Zobrist slotted in there for the time being.

i dont know enough about travis honestly. but i do love panik as a moneyball 2nd baseman. doesn't strike out, gets on base. issue with panik is he's a singles hitter for the most part so the upside is sort of limited in fantasy.

like for instance, if i deal ian kinsler for a draft pick, i'd pick up panic to slot in at 2nd. that kind of a player if that makes sense.

Thanks man, that helps a lot. I'm going to pick up Panik, dude just seems like a solid hitter which only helps.

How do you guys feel about Matt Moore coming back later this month? I want to pick him up, but I'm a little skeptical on how he'll look.

Of all the guys coming back from TJS, I like him the second most out of the bunch. He's got the highest K upside--a reason I've stashed him in one league-- so if that's what you're in need of I would roll the dice but I've never been in love with him as much as others because of his lack of refined command.

I like Corbin the most. He's reportedly been throwing harder than he was before  the surgery and he's still got decent strikeout potential.
