Footwear is always a big part of the festivities, so check out our NBA Feet: All Star Edition  for more on who's wearing what.

One more event that you missed
Yeah, if I included all the minor events in the topic post, it'd be 10 pages long.  I left out stuff like the "celebrity" game, shooting stars, etc. that nobody cares about.

Is anyone actually excited for this "game changers" challenge?  The last time the NBA attempted HORSE during All Star weekend, the results were less than stellar.

Chris Paul (Clippers, doesn't belong)
Well, this should be a fun thread.

the chris paul slander goes all the way up the NT chain of command

Meh.  We had to get the ball rolling somehow.

And if anyone should have a sense of humor, it's Clippers fans.
I didn't even know you were a hoops fan @Methodical Management. You should post in the NBA thread, it's hilarious in there most nights. Who's your team?
Of course.  @Nelson C  and I are huge NBA fans.  If not for that, NT might not exist.

I run the Wizards season thread: [thread="608639"]Washington Wizards 2014 2015 Season Thread Next Game Wednesday 7 30 Pm Vs Raptors[/thread]

I mainly talk basketball there.  The slower pace is easier for me to keep up with given everything I have to pay attention to on NT, and it's nice to be able to commiserate after a bad loss or front office debacle (of which we've endured many) without the Nelson Muntz effect from other fans.  I'm pleased with the dynamic we've established, where team threads can be a "sanctuary" for fans, and the all purpose NBA threads can serve those who enjoy friendly trash talk and rivalries.  I appreciate both sides, but typically only have the time to participate in the local thread.

Im really hoping CP3 strains a hammy in the 4th Q tomorrow and has to miss the ASG. Need him well rested for this stretch without Blake.

My pops picks up cp3 at times whenever he's in phx (uber)
Says he's a pretty good tipper and has a bad *** lady

It's hard to bet against Korver right now - although bigger guys (not that he's huge) sometimes struggle to get all the balls off - that's where someone like Kyrie Irving has an advantage - just smaller and quicker. Obviously there are exceptions - Kevin Love being a recent one.

The dunk contest looks as exciting as any in the last 20 years...

.

I say it every year and this year it should really be the case, but the Three Point Contest should be the headliner for Saturday. Its a more skillful event and the Dunk contest has lost about 95% of its flair.

Going with Steph Curry, and even if he wins, I hope he doesnt stop competing.

So what are you ballers doing in NYC this weekend?

I just wanna find some thotties and sell dreams.

So...........who's taking Davis' spot?? [emoji]128064[/emoji]

It should be 1 of these 5 (in no particular order);

DeAndre Jordan
Monta Ellis
Dirk Nowitzki
Mike Conley
Zack Randolph
