Nike SNKRS App Nike.com/SNKRS

i've noticed that if I completely quit the app (double tap the home button and swipe up), that i don't get notifications until i reopen the app and let it open in the background.

So you're saying if you pull down while in the app it doesn't refresh?....currently the last 2 nots I've gotten were for the cork dunk and the photosynthesis free 5.0s dropping today. But my feed updates regularly with a pull down and includes the Puerto Rican day parade kicks (assuming geo-specific to NYC) and the air Python (premium scales).

No, im saying i dont get notifications when i am not in the app if the app is not running in the background.  Here's a link describing the process i am talking about:

I just don't think the notifications get pushed to everyone. I've gotten a few but also missed a few.
 
Yeah, mine have been hit or miss. I'm not sure if it's intentional or a flaw with the app, because we keep getting bug fixes.
 
So, Adidas roled out the update for its app in anticipation of the Yeezy low (I'm guessing)....you have to confirm download with your number and an access code is sent with a 5 minute window for usage. Wondering if this is a view of things to come for SNKRS - imagine this would thwart bots/ ATCs a bit.
 
Nike doesn't want to stop online or SNKRS.. Think about it, when they sell a shoe through retail the costs of that shoe increases, when you sell online there is no wholesale costs and the profit to Nike is much larger as a %.

They need to figure this out but they wont be pushing people into stores and remove online
