I am going to DC next friday 20th - tuesday 24th with my friend... He is going there on a business trip so will be working most of the trip while i get to chill dolo... so i need places to hit up food spots or just spots to chill at... What would yall recommend? I was thinking of hitting up Major, DTLR, Bens chili and visiting the pandas at the zoo...and of course check out the white house and take some pictures... hopefully the weather is not that bad next weekend and it wont snow... i dont mind the cold weather since i got the gear ready for it... and im down to meet some NTers to just chill...

if you're feeling extra fancy, hit up POV for a drink and a nice view in the city, but its expensive...

good amount of decent dive bars downtown (off Farragut Sq) if thats your scene too...and U Street too since you mentioned Bens...

or if you can't or don't drink, disregard my advice...

could always do the touristy stuff on Capitol Hill, and of course the Smithsonian...MAKE SURE YOU STAND TO THE RIGHT ON ESCALATORS, can't stress that enough

the escalator thing is serious, especially during the afternoon rush hour...they will push you out the way

and hit up a friday happy hour downtown, if you can...the people are friendly and like to drink

If I don't go to NYC next weekend I'll be in DC. Hit me up OP. I'm always down to bar hop on U Street!

I've been to DC a couple of times. You can check out Stadium club. I believe they have a free drink happy hour every weekday. Bar hop on U street. Pass through Georgetown for the snow ferrets. That's pretty much all I know of.

im down to chill with yall NTers from DC :pimp:... it will be like a mini summit.. PMs will be sent next week closer to the time when I go to DC

Op check out H street if you here in the summer...Its cracks me up everytime I go there these dudes are on the side of a church selling catfish & hush puppies at like 1-2 in the morning lol

Do the tourist thing. Smithsonians are cool. Walk around. Hang around Capitol Hill, you're guranteed to meet some Senators. Check out the various war memorials, especially the WW2 and Vietnam.

Adams Morgan is always a good look for bars. Be sure to go to Jumbo Slice before you knock out. Don't go to Ben's Chili Bowl,so damn overpriced and overrated.

I'd also try and take in a show at the Kennedy Center, the Millennium Stage is free. Oh go down embassy row and check out all the different embassies. The Newseum is also pretty fun too, as well as the Spy Museum and if you're up for it,The Holocaust Museum. Might ruin your mood for a bit, but you'll be glad you went.

Well enjoy your trip to DC,don't just spend your time here getting drunk and chasing girls. You can do that anywhere.

While you're in The District, at least hit up Ebbitt's Grill for brunch or dinner...Amazing service and food. And if a good comic is in town, hit up DC Improv. We saw Tommy Davidson last fall there and guy showed out.

im actually trying to go to the wizards game against the cavs but the tickets are OD :x
