The other day while walking around SF, a bunch of black kids called this chinese kid a chi-ink (NT blocks when I write it out) and did he whole bucktooth thing and fake Chinese talk saying "Ching chong bing bong". Then the other day on the bus, I saw a black kid sit near some asian girls and they all stood up and sat somewhere else. I mean you just have too many variables to hate or racism. I see it on all sides. All of them pretty much suck.

What kind of backwards a$* logic is this. Hopefully the old guy gets straightened up after the video/ reports expose him, and that's that. You playing the eye-for-an-eye game when it doesn't even have to go that far, and even if it did... You and I both know that's a no-win fight for a black man in America.

No. I'm trying to tell you hoping that "racist white man" gets blown away before he presumptively kills a black man is not a pragmatic solution in the grand scheme of things. Nothing to do with defending yourself. More to do with what the guy I quoted specifically said. why wish death on cowards rather than wishing they CORRECT their racist tendencies. By that logic, you wanna tell me killing one racist white man one at a time is a practical solution to what exactly?

Just stating that cause racism happens everyday in all colors and what not. This happened just within the last two days of my life. I mean it's definitely not as extreme as this but there is just a lot of messed up things going on out in this world.

I have seen/heard Asian people in SF do the same thing to me when I was with my wife.
"Why is that filipino girl with that black guy, disgusting". I know a little mandarin and a grandmother told her granddaughter not to sit by us on the muni because" black people are scary and bad". I've heard ALOT of racist **** from Asian people( specifically parents) but I don't go out tripping and doing acts like this towards Asians, Hispanic/Latino, East Asian, Caucasian people, etc.. Once again you are one of the few cool dudes on NT but I can't get jiggy with what you presented.
There's prejudice idiots of all ethnicities but that doesn't give them the right to pull hammers on people because of the ******** propaganda that has been pushed down the american society throats about young/old black men in this country for decades. Unless it's a real threat to your home or person, why engage in this type of insecure behavior.

I get were you are coming from and by all means your points are very valid because I have seen things done before to older asian people(especially on the 30 Geary) when I go back and visit home were I had to stick up for them because of them youngster but it's just not pertinent to the discussion of the thread.
Now if this were a Asian/Black relations thread and how both sides(but all minorities) really sat back and looked at how all of our histories intersect with atrocities by the dominant society and the labels that they put on us to pit us against each other from uniting and ******* some **** up, then I would definately ride with your statement but this is not the topic for that discussion whether more of a deflection of the gross negligence that "thug" with a gun showed.

i witnessed something like that happen a few years ago riding the 30. the grandma said something like that to her grandkids about a old black lady who sat next to them. the black lady replied back to her in chinese and yelled "i taught english in china for x amount of years and in return i learned a new language so i know what y'all saying about me". the grandma snatched her kids up said sorry and got off at the next stop with the quickness.

I can't remember which Nter said it but it was something like: there is no punishment in the United States for being a racist, but there are harsh one for being labeled a racist though
So some folk do racist **** all the time, never get called out on it, and think that is acceptable behavior.
Notice how dude got so defensive when the camera man brought up race. As soon the white dude thought he is being labeled a racist he gets defensive because he knows he will have to face consequences for that.

Dude charged his gun, he would have blasted this kid had he not been recording and 9 out 10 times gotten away Scott free....wild world we live in, be safe my brethren....I'm not black but I've dealt with my share of prejudice, I can only imagine if I was a few shades darker...

I don't want to open Pandora's box, but to be fair racism is a 2 way street and I've witness plenty of racist black folks, who mistreat innocent white people solely based on their complexion, but I guess based on history this has become the norm and acceptable....
imo we alllll gotta do our part of change is to come forth...learn to love one another and not be afraid of each other.
