I don't want to open Pandora's box, but to be fair racism is a 2 way street and I've witness plenty of racist black folks, who mistreat innocent white people solely based on their complexion, but I guess based on history this has become the norm and acceptable....

imo we alllll gotta do our part of change is to come forth...learn to love one another and not be afraid of each other.

One of my friends described racism in a pretty simple way. In America if every single black person decided to hate white people, the lives of white people as a whole wouldn't change. But if every single white person decided to start hating black people every black persons lives would change.

I guess the point is that real, wide spread, effective racism can only be implemented by those with power.
 
I'ma tell y'all what, that stereotyping white dude is lucky as F he didn't get blasted. You don't pull the heat on someone near Henry High without expecting a shootout… at least 15-20 years ago. Haven't been over there in a minute so not sure what it's like these days.
 
Thank god young dude didnt have a gun of his own as we ALL know nobody would have believed him that he was defending himself. :smh: Labeled a thug and locked away in jail for the rest of his life despite being in the right. :smh:

Yes the old man is a POS, but at least this way there is a chance he can get in some type of trouble for his actions and the young kid still is able to live his life. Win-win to me.

Hey Rusty, it doesn't have to be an argument bro, I'm not coming at anyone or trying to stir the pot, but we gotta be honest with ourselves...black people openly discriminate white people rather often, a friend of mine who dates a black girl and he happens to be Hispanic but looks white legot got singled out something crazy when he met the fam at a party, eventually they warmed up to him, but the jokes and innappropiate remarks made were plenty, some relative even asked her in front of him "what's this white boy doing here?" Dude cool as hell, so he didn't flip, just laughed it off...but that's what I mean by some black folks excercising racism...I'm not saying is matched in any way by what blacks have been through in history because obviously it never will be.

A Florida man thought he was acting heroically, but as it turns out, he jumped the gun.

Michael Foster, 43, thought the worst when he spotted a man walking into a Walmart with a handgun holstered under his coat.

As you can see from the store's video above, Foster tackled the man from behind and put him in a chokehold.

According to a witness, 62-year-old Clarence Daniels pleaded with Foster to let him go, telling him he had a license to carry the weapon.

When police arrived, they confirmed that Daniels did have a permit to carry the gun, and Foster was arrested on a count of battery.

Police advise concerned citizens to call law enforcement, not take matters into their own hands.

Dude is a Senior Citizen and was stalked & attacked we've seen what happens to younger people without weapons in these situations.

Ya'll need to stop it with this BS.  We out here getting held back, discriminated against, looked over, wrongly accused, thrown in jail, and worst of all shot down in the because of our race.  So cut that BS out about black people are racist too argument, because our jokingly "racism" doesn't equate to there life ending life altering racism. 

If that be the case label everybody racist, because I've been to Asians homes and they where leery and a bit rude at first; but were cool mins. later offering me food and ****.  The same has happen with a Hispanics and Middle Easterners I've had the pleasure of meeting in their homes for the first time. 

Kill that noise acknowledge it for what it is instead of trying to come up with some weak *** example of black people being "racist" too.  We all are pretty confidante that had dude and his cousin been white there would be no gun involved, and probably no problem at all.

Of course it doesn't equate, but to a lot of NON Blacks, they will treat it like it does. Especially for folks who are sensitive, they will think that such jokes towards their own race is equivalent to how blacks were treated in the hillbilly states back in the civi rights era and prior. 

Here's another example, the members of the gay community compare the treatment they get as minority comparable to black americans in the past. Is that a correct statement ? I don't know, but some folks in the black american community will certainly disagree with this statement.

I think they can, because there have been instances where being gay has caused people to loss their lives, attacked, or discriminated against for no good reason other then being gay.  So yea I believe they have a valid point.

My thing about the gay movement is I think a lot of them want to be seen as gay or lesbian first instead of just wanting people to not care about their sexual orientation.  We as black people at least with me want to be looked at as human just like the next person that isn't of color.  But that doesn't mean that I won't take pride and honor those black people before me that had to endure and stand tall in order for me to have the privileges I have today. 

But I don't want to be defined as a black man first and foremost.  I'm a human before all that, and I deserve to be treated just as equal as the whitest white person.  But unfortunately it isn't that way due to sociaty, and I don't believe it ever will be.  But race relations will get better I'm sure about that I just don't know when.

It's blatantly obvious is not and blacks have suffered at the hands of white injustice for hundreds of years....but in recent times YA really gonna be this close minded as to believe some black people are not prejudice against whites?...cmon man...

I never said what happened to my friend is in any way equal to what this old man pulled...hence my boy just laughed it off...still it was innnapropiate and he had grounds to be upset...or wouldn't any of you who say are black go to a party with all white people and get singled out racially with remarks and such and be cool with it?...because they are just "busting your chops"

I would like someone to please kick it to me and make some sense of this without getting in their feels and attacking me personally....just one person.
