Minor gripe...but the moving walkway in an airport should be used for.......

I fly frequently as hell and am never really in rushes but I just have a quick walking pace. I hate getting stuck behind slow walking people.

Are dudes really saying you don't walk faster if you're on the moving walk way? Huh? I definitely feel the OP. It's cool if you get on there and don't want to walk, but the ******** who just stand in the middle are ridiculous. And to the people saying oh just move around them, yeah that would work if there wasn't 20 lazy *** people just standing right in the middle not caring.

Dudes don't walk up escalators either really? smh

@JJs07  move to Japan bruh. everyone knows to stand on the right and walk on the left, same with escalators.

I can understand if you're walking regularly and have to deal with ppl standing around or slow ppl in front of you. That's an obstacle I face everyday and dislike those ppl but not on one of those moving walkways or escalators for that matter.

No need to rush there.

yes, they are.

its NT Theater at this point.
dudes are purposely missing the point trying to be funny

NT General can sometimes be like being in Study Hall with a bunch of jocks
everyone trying to one-up each other by making corny jokes and playing stupid

This is all im saying.

Op stated that he has a gripe with the way people just stand on the moving walkway...im sure we have all seen this.
For whatever reason it may be....tired...injured...old..lots of baggage...or just lazy, people do this.
and i honestly have 0 problem if he has a gripe with that.

But what im saying is, if you are in a rush at the airport, why would you take the walkway and get congested among the people who are just standing there instead of just walking through the main hallway where you can go at your own pace.

Just like how in some airports and metro stations they have an escalator with a staircase right next to it.
If im in a rush or just want to avoid immobile people i will take the stairs because the traffic flows more fluidly.

It's amazing how dudes like @seasoned vet  don't understand this simple concept yet his complex forces him to believe EVERYBODY else on NT is stupid and remedial.

@JJs07  I didn't say you cosigned the thread, that's why I asked. Are you consistent in your gripes though? Do you have a problem with people not walking up the escalator? I mean they and everybody else would get to the next floor quicker if they did.
I dont get it tho if u in a rush why would u go on the moving walkway where you know there will be immobile people there?

I drew a quick diagram.

see this is that remedial part

anytime ive ever seen these things they're either empty or some business person is rapidly walking through one

ive seen a few people standing in one but never 'congested'

of course if the track is congested it wouldnt make sense to use it in that manner

but logic doesnt come in to play when you're doing your best to make jokes

as i stated before
you have to actually use one while walking to understand

You'd have to actually travel to some non-bumble**** town part of the world to understand that in any major international airport, the things are typically congested, specifically with the old and slow.

i wish the sidewalks outside were moving walkways ... could happen, the future is limitless

so explain how the ones in the Orlando Airport were empty?

I'm not gonna **** on Orlando because I have a cousin there and I've had fun but Orlando does not qualify as one of the world's major international airports.

But even if it did, I completely understand how someone like YOU would think that because it was empty the one time YOU were there, that other airport walkways around the world are NOT typically congested.

Like dude posted about being in Japan. If everyone would  have the knowledge to just move to the right side if you are not passing, everything would flow a lot smoother. Are you not from the Bay.....cant you see how traveling on the BART would be much easier if people would chill on the right side of the escalator if they are not passing?

Someone at work just left their used dental TOOTHPICK near the potluck food IN A place where it pricked my skin.

I'm paranoid now

Nobody is missing the point.

Posters are just disagreeing about this being anything to gripe about. You want to get to where you're going faster? Run.

The other stuff is ppl not caring about your point and trying to get lulz.
