Minor gripe...but the moving walkway in an airport should be used for.......

I dont get it tho if u in a rush why would u go on the moving walkway where you know there will be immobile people there?

I drew a quick diagram.

you ever seen Underworld?

remember the scene when that Lycan first bit Michael in the elevator?
when they got downstairs and got in the car, theres a scene of them driving away but dude chased the car down

thats how they did the scene

Naw they didnt make a custom one for filming that scene...

So u mean to tell me if youre late for a flight and its leaving and youre running thru the airport youre gonna stop and get on every one of the moving walkways?

dont be obtuse
of course it all depends on how late you are

to answer your question i actually used one of these for the first time in December at the Orlando Airport

and yes
instead of running
i walked briskly utilizing every one of these things i could

it was actually a relief
a real big relief
because you're not putting out as much energy
and these things give you a big breeze because you're moving

i got to my gate on time and not out of breath and sweating from running
it was weird

this is what happens when you actually TRY something before you speak up to knock it

id always knew what they were for but never tried them til recently

im with you op

the walkway is the slowest moving thing ever, i would die of boredom if i stood there waiting for it to take me to the end

i like to think of it as walking on one of those boost things in mario cart

this is a classic example of a thread going a certain way because of the first few replies

i understand the thread starter

those things were made to help one rapidly move throught the terminals without running

however FAT americans have turned it into a moving rest stop
and now people think thats what its for
Pretty much

Because the moving walkway is quicker.

It ain't a race, and if you want to get there quicker. Either run, or arrive early.
Its not about being a race it's just a quicker way of movement. Delays happen in the airport or maybe you want to arrive at your terminal early to relax/drink before your flight. People may have different motive but clogging up the walkway is just...

Gotcha

But wat if someone is just tired.....had surgery.....is pregnant.....?

Why cant they just glide for a minute?

If there are situations like that, by all means use the walkway....but I'd really hope if it was a case where someone had troubles walking, they'd seek out cart assistance in the airport instead.

The walkway thing (to me) is like people who take the elevator up one floor. Minor gripe, but it grinds my gears. Of course, if you're someone who isn't able-bodied for whatever the reason, it's OK.

Taking the elevator up a floor aint chill?

Bruh I don't even know where the stairs are in my building.

And were you cosigning the thread complaining about people reclining their seats back all of two inches on flights?

Where did I complain in that thread? I said it was a sucker move by the dude who rigged his seat so the person couldn't recline.

WALKING!

Grinds my gears to see people clogging up the moving walkway just to rest. You can literally find a spot ANYWHERE in an airport to relax, why use the walkway when there are folks who want to use it to get from point A to point B much faster?

That's all.

Have a great Friday.
Cuz where else can you rest and still be moving towards your destination?

If you just want to walk don't use the walkway. Walk around it, you'll be moving anyway right? If you want to get somewhere faster, start running.

The moving walkway is really no different than an escalator.

Nah b, the moving walkway was created in America specifically so ppl could sit, stand or walk on them. Don't get it twisted cuz you wanna be condescending to fat ppl

This sounds like laziness

Don't want to expend energy all by yourself but still get to where you need to go cuz you're late. So you'll complain about other ppl doing the same thing just cuz they're not briskly walking.

Next time I'd say don't be late but if you are how about you be in shape and run and when you get there not be out of breath.

My dude JJs walked right into the trolling without realizing it. Dude should've just stood there and let the walkway take him past the lulz seekers.
