Best State to live in?

^Hawaii has something to say about best year round weather. 80 degrees year round none of those extremes other places get, a nice warm but not hot temp consistently...can't beat it.

How's the humidity?

Either way weather in both places is amazing

SD doesn't get enough love. It's great. And while not cheap it's cheaper than SF and LA at least

Always forget ab Hawaii but I could never live there.

North Carolina....slept on state ...we have nice cities, mountains, and nice laid back beaches

Weather is also pretty balanced here ....downside is we get an ice storm almost every winter

Texas to get your bread, Oregon to retire (unless you have arthritis, then winters ain't too nice on the joints)

Hawaii would be a Tough choice. Not a quick and easy ferry ride to the mainland and no pro sports teams. Would be tough to always have to catch a flight to the Bay to watch my boy Steph put a hurting on my Hornets.

I gotta have my Balance when it comes to living in a state. Crucial.

What state gets 6 months of winter? Its only 3 - 3.5 of true winter here.

So far, no other city comes close to Hawaii's weather.

San Diego is close... but I can't deal with the constant fog.

OP, Florida's great but I definitely feel you on moving out. I'm open to doing it for a few years myself, but the only other places I could really see myself at in the US are NYC or Cali. I just like miami too much, been here all my life except four years in tally :pimp:

Downfalls of living in south Florida?

I am a teacher. Not trippin about getting a job. This snow just made me annoyed

California has tons of beauty and it all depends on what you want. Although everyone wants to live in SF/SD/LA, my ideal location would be on a beautiful hillside home in Napa Valley. The weather, natural beauty, and pace of life would be ideal. Plus it's close to the Bay or the Sierras. NorCal>Socal because of the weather. Unlike a lot of people, I don't like it to be warm all year, I enjoy seasons. It was damn near 90 in LA a few days ago :x.

I love SoCal but there's something about Portland or Oregon all together that is just calling my name. never been there but I know I would love to live in Portland.

love portland and grew up there. Greenery is amazing, people are friendly and Nike is everywhere. But it rains all the damn time and Under cover racist folks as well.

not surprised by the racism in Oregon

It was founded as a racist Utopia
