I used to be all about SoCal and slept on what Norcal had to offer till probably the last year or two, now, I quite enjoy SF and the surrounding bay area. Even further up north towards Tahoe and the snow, I've come to enjoy.

Hopefully, I acquire a taste for the nature/forest stuff soon

Of the states I've been to Texas and Colorado seem like really nice places to live. I'm fine in Arizona for now but the job market out here isnt that good

these things are all largely subjective based on individual criteria we all have for ourselves...

It all depends on who you ask & personal preference.

A lot of folks have never been out of their own state or even if they have, have never been elsewhere for any significant amount of time.

I myself am from NY, born and lived there 20 years. Moved to AZ with a couple friends 9 years ago. I love NY and I don't like AZ but stay for reasons not important to the thread.

Anyways, though I love NY I always liked more rural places as well. Something about nature, mountains, green trees & starry skies really speaks to my soul. I love the snow and would not mind living somewhere that it snowed almost year around

But that's me, a lot of NYers would get cabin fever just thinking of living somewhere like that. I can be equally content back in NY or going somewhere where my neighbor would be literally a country mile away.

My point is that there is no best state. The best state is a matter of personal preference.

You're not going to find a definite answer to your question until you yourself just explore the answer to that question yourself.

I lived in Houston for 9 months. Place wasn't for me. Job opportunity in Texas is ridiculous. 14th largest economy on it's own. Cali got the 8th largest economy on it's own but it doesn't seem to have Texas job opportunities.

If you want to get ahead in your careers it seems like Texas and New York are the places to be.

I live in miami , could see myself in

Nashville
Austin
Atlanta
Los Angeles
Boston
Santa Monica
Seattle
Chicago
Baltimore
Portland
New York

I lived in Texas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado North Carolina and NY

Texas women >>> all
Cost of living I would say North Carolina

Charlotte is where it's at, affordable and nice weather most of the year. Raleigh is also great too, just a bit more expensive.

Texas and its isn't close.

Cost of living+Job Opportunities+Weather can't be beat anywhere in America.

If I had millions I'm living in San Diego though.
