The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

He's not Beal and Klay in the L .... so who is he? Dunleavy? Morrow? Korver? Drafted Top 15? Nah...

Did he create one single shot for himself this year?
Any defense played?
Uh, nobody is expecting Booker to be Beal or Klay

I think he is the type of guy who can fit into a winning type system, he can be a nice role player

He isn't the type of guy you set your offense around, but that should have been assumed since he isn't even a lock for top 10

I could definitely see Booker evolving into a role that JJ Reddick has. Manufacture his offense for him, come off screens and space the floor. If his stroke becomes elite, which is a possibility, the struggle to create shots for himself decreases. JJ's offense has gotten to the point where he can attack defenders who fall for pump fakes etc.

JJ isn't explosive and neither is Booker. Both don't have the physical tools nor the freakish length but are both really really intelligent and unselfish. They know what it takes to play a winning brand of ball

Booker tries defensively I just don't think he has the natural gifts to be a good defender

So many extremes here.

He's a solid defender. At the worst, if you get a knockdown shooter out of him then he's worth the Top 15 pick.

I just hear the comparison to Klay and cringe. They both lightskin maybe?

I don't root against kids, just can't see how he's more than a 8-12 ppg, doesn't reb, doesn't pass particular well, can't guard and doesn't have nba athleticism.

Look at some of the past 15th overall picks and tell me that a kid who can possibly shoot 40% from 3 for a playoff team isn't worth that risk.

I think you are confused about the quality of player you can reasonably expect in the late lottery.

not everyone is gonna be "the next ____"

some guys find their niche & could be the missing piece on a contender. i think Booker in OKC would be a good look.

draftexpress ran the numbers on the average production from each draft pick.

Only the top 5 picks gave you an average a average career PER's. every other pick is below.

The median PPG for the 14th pick is 8 PPG.

so if you draft Devin Booker and he gives you 40% 3 point shooting, league average d and 12 PPG, you will be out performing the expected value of picks 6-30.

If booker is at least a knock down shooter.. The thunder need that

Lamb and waiters are useless.. Roberson can't shoot

You have morrow, who doesn't play much defense

Wonder what rj hunter would be able to do in that role though

In a scenario where Booker's shooting 40% from 3-pt, he'll be well above 12 PPG.

That's why I like the Kapono floor. At worst he can be a pretty solid spot up shooter from 3. At 15 you can do a lot worse.

Myles Turner & Kevon Looney are the 2 most intriguing prospects in this draft imo
