The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

I like Hezonja on the Magic. Oladipo-Payton-Hezonja-Gordon-Vucevic would be fast, athletic and with a ton of potential. Gordon was a tremendous defensive player in college. I see no reason why he can't play that 4 spot for them. He could be basically exactly what Draymond has been for the Warriors.
I threw out the Gordon-Draymond comparison around this time last year.

I think he has it in him, without being an ******* like Draymond is on the court.

I think Orlando needs to take Winslow here. Too much defensive potential to pass up on with Elfrid-Vic-Winslow. Plus Winslow's upside is much greater than Gordons. Gordon can come off the bench nbd. Then make sure you resign Tobias and sign a bunch of scorers in FA.

I thought Jordan Clarkson is their future PG at this point. I cant see them taking another PG. Okafor/Towns is the logical choice.

Muddy has a much higher ceiling than Clarkson. Winslow makes a lot of sense as well. If you want to have two bigs that are food defensively and don't dominate the boards, go for it, but I'd explore other options.

to who and for what?
Off the top of my head...if the Knicks are willing to package the 4th pick and a salary dump...they'd be an option.

Knicks get back Lawson and/or Faried + the 7th pick (Cauley-Stein). Denver grabs Mudiay, Andrea's expiring and/or Calderon.

i rather take the shot with the rookie point guard than lawson's contract. like ty as a player, but i rather just have that flexibility.

meh, it's not an awful idea, i rather not do it though.
It makes alot of sense for both teams.

The Knicks fill alot of holes in one move. You get back a proven point guard that's 27 and still in his prime...a 25 year old Faried, and you can go in a myriad of directions with the 7th pick. If WCS is there...it's even a better haul. Denver sheds a ton of salary...gets a new franchise player in Mudiay...all while having a great cap situation going into the 2016 free agency period.

Depends if Phil wants to build or try and win now.
This is certainly the key.

He's under alot of pressure. Do you have enough faith to wait for a 19 year old point guard to develop under the bright lights of NYC?

If the kid isn't John Wall by year 2/3...you already know how that's going to play out in that media circus up there.

media is gonna complain either way bunch of scumbags have nothing better to do. i rather just take my chances with the draft pick since we do need young talent for the future. that potential roster, while decent, still isn't a guaranteed contender. rather keep the flexibility, see what this rookie turns into and see what kind of team can be built. rushing things are why the knicks have been miserable the past 20 years.

A lil magic talk in here ? :pimp: ...the team needs shooting , rim protection, resign Tobias Harris and sign/draft a good guard off the bench ...would like to look at WCS, Turner, Mario, ...wouldn't be surprised if they take Winslow based off how they drafted athletes the past few years ( that Aaron Gordon pick :smh: ) ...the wild cards to look out for imo are Kaminsky and Porzingis...n with the second rounder would love to have Boatright, or Rozier

if you want that kaminsky skill set i feel like you need to gamble on Zinger first. higher upside. maybe more risk, but hey, it's worth the gamble.

Drafting Winslow after you drafted Gordon doesn't make sense.

If I'm the Magic it's WCS or Mario for me.

How about:

Kings get: Lawson, Blazers 2016 pick (from Nuggets) and Grizzlies 2016 pick (from Nuggets)
Nuggets: Calderon, Thompson or Landry, #4
Knicks: Collison, Hickson, #6

Edit:

And the Nuggets give back the Knicks their full 2016 pick. No pick swap. Faried could also replace Hickson in this trade, but the Knicks would be taking on more long-term money.

we'll burn down the barclays center if we did that  not a horrible idea but it won't go over well

i like mario in orlando, not sure if they'll do it. gordon really looks like a role player, maybe he develops, but he's never done it for me. winslow at least can be a big time intangibles guy.

Gordon is a role player ...whatever direction they go he's most likely coming off the bench for hustle and energy for the foreseeable future
