The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

Dekker's a terrific finisher, very few buckets he scored were in the transition game which Is a great sign. He's bad at catch and shoots but good shooting off the bounce.

I think he'll have a role in this league for sure. Wouldn't take him that high probably.

With only 20 some odd days left we should pretty much know who we're taking.

But of course here in MN with flip running the show he wants to throw smoke screens until draft night. Idiot went to go watch Porzingis workout or is planning to.

NBA mock draft 10.0: UNLV teammates headed in different directions

With the combine and lottery in the books, the speculation season for the 2015 NBA draft has officially begun. USA TODAY Sports’ Derek Bodner revises his two-round mock based on the latest buzz.

1. Minnesota Timberwolves - Jahlil Okafor

General manager Flip Saunders and the Wolves are very big on Jahlil Okafor. That being said, they are still very much undecided with their top pick. It could be Okafor and or Karl-Anthony Towns.

2. Los Angeles Lakers - Karl-Anthony Towns

If the Timberwolves select Okafor first, the Lakers should have an easy decision. Towns fits in well with last year's first round pick Julius Randle and will help anchor their defense for years to come.

3. Philadelphia 76ers - D'Angelo Russell

Some league executives think Russell could be the best prospect in the draft, and he also fits a position and skill-set the Sixers desperately need.

4. New York Knicks - Emmanuel Mudiay

The Knicks would probably prefer any of the aforementioned picks fall to them at 4, as Mudiay's questionable shooting may not fit what they are looking for in a point guard to run the triangle. Still, Mudiay is the best talent still available.

5. Orlando Magic - Kristaps Porzingis

Porzingis would fit the Magic's need for a shot blocker to put next to center Nikola Vucevic and would also help their floor spacing. Justise Winslow, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Mario Hezonja all possibilities as well.

6. Sacramento Kings - Willie Cauley-Stein

Cauley-Stein's shot blocking and defensive versatility seem to be exactly what the Kings are looking to place next to DeMarcus Cousins. One of the wings (Justise Winslow, Mario Hezonja) are also possible.

7. Denver Nuggets - Mario hezonja

Hezonja's athleticism and offensive ability should fit in well with the Nuggets' rebuild, giving them an offensive option who could be a central part of their team going forward.

8. Detroit Pistons - Justise Winslow

Executives continue to be lukewarm on Winslow's perimeter shot. His 41.8% three-point shooting was encouraging, but with his struggles from the line (64.1%) and inability to shoot off the dribble, they'd like to see more. One thing they're all-in on: Winslow's defense.

9. Charlotte Hornets - Stanley Johnson

Johnson falling here seems to be the perfect fit for the Hornets, as his defense would be a welcome addition to their rotation, and his perimeter shooting and decision making should help their offense.

10. Miami Heat - Kelly Oubre

Miami needs to decide whether to use this pick to find a player who can help them win now, or whether they should use this rare lottery opportunity to get a potential mainstay in their rotation. Oubre may not help them immediately, but has a lot of potential this late in the draft.

11. Indiana Pacers - Myles Turner

The Pacers could use more depth on their front line, with the aging David West and the uncertainty around Roy Hibbert. Turner gives them some flexibility with his defensive presence and ability to step out on the perimeter offensively.

12. Utah Jazz - Devin Booker

With the Jazz having their frontcourt locked down for the foreseeable future with Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert, more depth on the perimeter, and floor spacing, could help them take the next step. Booker is one of the best shooters in the draft.

13. Phoenix Suns - Frank Kaminsky

Kaminsky's versatile offensive game should fit in very well with what the Suns are looking to do.

14. Oklahoma City Thunder - Sam Dekker

The Thunder have been trying to find some depth on the wings for a few years, a problem that got worse after trading Thabo Sefolosha last summer. Dekker's versatility could help Oklahoma City solve that problem.

15. Atlanta Hawks - Trey Lyles

Adding more shooting to Hawks' lineup could be a scary proposition, and Lyles' diverse offensive game could thrive in their system.

16. Boston Celtics - Bobby Portis

Portis has a lot of attributes that should make him a longtime contributor in the NBA, including rebounding, hustle, and face-up ability, which could fit in well with Boston's existing frontcourt lineup.

17. Milwaukee Bucks - Cameron Payne

Point guard may not be an obvious area of need for Milwaukee after bringing in Michael Carter-Williams at the trade deadline, but adding Payne's offensive skill set would complement Carter-Williams well.

18. Houston Rockets - Jerian Grant

Houston needs point guard depth in the worst way, and Grant could bring a stabilizing presence for Houston off the bench.

19. Washington Wizards - Kevon Looney

Looney has a lot of physical attributes which make him very intriguing, and adding him to Washington's aging frontcourt could help them down the line.

20. Toronto Raptors - Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

Hollis-Jefferson's incredible defensive potential could fill a big area of need for a Raptors team that struggled on that side of the court.

21. Dallas Mavericks - Delon Wright

Finding a long-term solution at the point guard spot after the Rajon Rondo experiment could be big for the Mavericks, especially one who can play defense like Wright.

22. Chicago Bulls - Tyus Jones

Adding Jones as a backup to Derrick Rose would give the Bulls some much-needed depth and stability at the position.

23. Portland Trailblazers - R.J. Hunter

Should Portland retain LaMarcus Aldridge, Hunter's offensive game and skill level could give them more depth to make another run.

24. Cleveland Cavaliers - Justin Anderson

Anderson credits his improved shot to better shot selection and decision-making. If that drastic improvement holds true, Anderson's defense could make him a very valuable piece to a puzzle.

25. Memphis Grizzlies - Rashad Vaughn

Vaughn's stock has been rising fairly steadily of late, and Memphis could really use some shooting here. If R.J. Hunter doesn't fall, Vaughn could be a nice option.

26. San Antonio Spurs - Montrezl Harrell

Harrell's offensive game still needs some work, but he has the type of size and hustle to be a contributor on the defensive end.

27. Los Angeles Lakers - Terry Rozier

If the Lakers go big with their first pick they'll need some perimeter shooting to complement that. Rozier has a lot of talent on that end of the court.

28. Sacramento Kings - Robert Upshaw

Boston could really use some shot blocking on their front line, and Robert Upshaw, who was kicked off of Fresno State and Washington, is one of the best in the draft.

29. Brooklyn Nets - Christian Wood

Wood's shot blocking (2.7 per game) and perimeter shooting ability could fit in well in Brooklyn, whether or not they keep Brook Lopez (player option for 2015-16) around long-term.

30. Golden State Warriors -Jarrell Martin

Golden State's shooting and floor spacing should allow the athletic Martin a chance to shine.

Link above also has a mock for the second round as well.

It's still early but it's looking like high school hoopmixtapes have given us a pretty clear idea of how guys like randle and towns will operate in the pros, despite playing significantly different in ncaa competition

Lawson-Chandler-Hezonja-Gallo-Euro guy from last year would drop buckets with D'Antoni as coach.

I can see Nuggets picking Mario

D'Antoni
he's def going there if he's the coach

I'll be PISSED if Stanley ends up in Charlotte. Another dude that can't shoot :smh:

Have mercy on my soul sports gods

Not with Byron Scott or Flip as their coaches.

Yea, Stan is not a good fit there. Booker would be, but probably too high.
