The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

Dont say stuff like that, i would honestly have to stop watching these dudes

I have faith they wont do that, cause at the same time they didnt trade Beal for Harden so i have a hard time they would do it for Kris

Edit: That troll attempt raised my heart rate for a few

I like Kris a great deal , I wish Otto Porter had trade value

And if they happen to Draft Russell dude isnt a franchise changer he can be a solid player tho, I wouldn't be suprised if they deal him at the deadline

LOL wut? They're not gonna trade a top 3 pick in his first 4 months being in the league. Even the biggest busts ever were given more time.

Next year's trade deadline mybad, with the log jam of bigs they have I wouldnt be surprised if they traded Noel either

The only franchise changing piece they have acquired in the last couple years is Embiid and they held him back to get the pick they gt now

You stay saying some off the wall ****

Teams don't often pick up franchising altering talent either. Most teams don't even have one

 bro im not saying stuff for shock value or anything like that, just seeing the moves ther 76ers made, has led me to believe they would do things like i stated

Past actions are the best indicator of future behaviors

One of the Celtics' highly-publicized rebuilding 'springboard' pieces, Minnesota's 2016 first-round pick/their first-round pick next year (which was initially traded to PHX, who sent it to BOS) is top-12 protected. So if Minnesota, this upcoming season, doesn't finish as one of the two best teams not to make the playoffs (Thunder and Suns of this year), then that first-round pick won't be a first-round pick. It will turn into two second-round picks - and in next year's draft, 2016, Minnesota will own its first-round pick and add another lottery talent to its core of Wiggins-Towns-Rubio-Dieng-LaVine-Bazz, etc.

I don't see Minnesota's defense (30th out of 30 this past season) being good enough to be outside of the worst 12 teams in the NBA. They add Towns and Rubio's healthy again, but will a healthy Pekovic/Martin offset what's added to the degree where an ascension from No. 1 odds to not being one of the 12 worst teams in the NBA would be possible? Doubt it.

Whenever people talk to you about Boston's assets, bring up context and things like the above will have their argument caving in all around them. Ainge is reeling in the smoke of all these protected picks and Stevens is like ¯\_(ツ)_/

Bruh I been saying this forever. All of boston's "assets" that people drool over, nobody ever looks at the conditions of the picks. They had philly's 1st rounder this year but it was lotto protected. Their best bet is if dallas or Brooklyn miss the playoffs this coming season. Legit possibilities but Brooklyn, as terrible as they are, made the playoffs and won't need much to get back in the east. And cuban if nothing else is good for building a cardboard team that can make the postseason. Rest of boston's picks are close to worthless

Noel proved to be a game changing defensive prospect last season. He did some CRAZY things. For the Sixers to trade him, Joel and Saric would have to be monsters.

Now why don't you go over the positive moves that Hinkie has made like sign Covington for dirt cheap, find McDaniels/Grant in the second round, got back their own pick from the disasterous Bynum trade from the Magic, traded vets that were likely to walk for assets (Turner, Hawes, Young).

And that's to go with trading Holiday for Noel and Saric.

Covington , McDaniels, Grant are they really positive moves? someone has to score and get rebounds, steals and assists and blocks on a garbage team and Saric hasn't even played a game yet.  You won't be able to tell if they are good until the play for a cohesive and competitive team.  Everyone on the sixers was literally just trying to showcase their talents, none of them were really about winning or being competitive. they were like a summer league team and were just trying to stay on an NBA roster wether it be with philly or another team.

Saric is gonna be/is a very good player.

McDaniels was a good pick where he was taken. Was surprised when we traded him for barely anything but I don't think he wanted to resign with us in the offseason apparently and that's why he only signed for one year.

Grant ended up being a steal where he was taken. I thought he was gonna suck too.

Covington was a hellllll of a pickup.

we will see once they put together an actual team, and eventually they are going to have to keep a point guard and pay him, not trade him when he gets a decent contract or is coming up on a contract year. Bottom line Philly has to sign some checks and have a mix of young talent and vets.

Boston has a collection of mid to late 1st rounders, never knew why ppl were so excited about their rebuild ....unless one of their players turns into a star or they suddenly become a free agent destination ( which they never been ) they stuck in 7 -10 in the standings for a while
