The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

Danny Ainge says, "We're having discussions to move up w/ both of our picks in the 1st round. We're hoping to move up w/ at least one."
“Right now we don’t even know where we’re drafting or what position we’ll be in,” said Ainge. ”We think there’s going to be a lot of activity on draft night so… stay tuned.”
Danny Ainge: "No Celtics player is untouchable this week."
#Celtics president Danny Ainge said it's rare a player truly opens his eyes in pre-draft workout. Asked if it happened this year, said "Yes"
Had no idea Ainge was talking this much.

 SHOOT YOUR SHOT B.

@JD617  what's your boy up to? You trying to see them do anything in particular?
An interesting comparison I heard about WCS was Kenyon Martin. Obviously WCS is taller, but you get the same things brought to the table; the athleticism, shot blocking, decent rebounding, defensive versatility, so-so offense.
That's a hell of a comparison I hadn't heard yet. I could **** with that one. Even though WCS was more limited in college, K-Mart had the edge on O this early.

I said a couple days ago I'm warming up to the idea of grabbing Willie at 4 if their first option ain't there. The buzz about that foot issue better be some trumped up item floated by a team that wants him to slide though.

I read somewhere that he really likes Myles Turner but who knows at this point what's true or not.

Z.LaVine on how he chose what he would wear NBA draft night:

“It was my agency, but then a little bit of me as well. My favorite color’s green, I got green eyes, so I wanted to wear like a forest green suit. I wanted to keep it a little bit more professional, not as flashy. I like my suits green, had some leather accents, some brown leather accents to it. You know, it’s nice."

If the Lakers do not deal the second pick, it sounds like they prefer Ohio State guard D’Angelo Russell to Duke center Jahlil Okafor. However, if the Lakers deal the pick, it is likely it will be to a team wanting to jump the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks and snag Okafor.

There is a growing feeling that the top three picks in some order will be Karl-Anthony Towns, Russell and Okafor, meaning the Knicks will be frozen out from the players they covet most. Several sources have indicated the Knicks would like to draft Russell or Okafor, but if both are gone, then Phil Jackson will look to make a deal. Should the Knicks trade down, potential targets are Trey Lyles, Justise Winslow and Sam Dekker.

Idk if the Lakers are taking Russell, but the Sixers certainly aren't giving anything up to get him. Hinkie is in the asset collecting business, not asset distribution. Plus according to reports the Sixers are high on Mudiay too.

This is exactly like the report from last year where the Sixers were "high on Wiggins" and willing to trade 3 and 10 to move up.

Rather go with the DeAndre Jordan/Chandler comparisons. KMart was definitely more of a standard PF than a C. Prime KMart at Cincy pre knee injury

It worked summer of 2007 so I think that would be a gamble worth taking again.

Not even close. In 2007 they gave up a top 5 pick, a top 6 pick, a player way better than anything they have now in al Jefferson and a bunch of young prospects like gomes, gerald green, telfair and that was with ainge's butt buddy mchale helping him out.

Point being they had the assets those kinds of deals done. The Rockets did it this way too.

Dear Baby Jesus, let Zinger go to the Magic and let the Knicks select Emmanuel Mudiay. Thank you. Sincerely, miserable Knicks fan #45.
