- I digged that Wolves joint

- Maya got some juicy thighs :nerd:

- Eddie aint funny anymore. Hasnt done the stand up reps in decades. No shock he didnt try to do anything funny tonight. Raw/Delirious Eddie is long gone. RIP :frown:

I have a theory. When you reach rich-black-comedian-movie star-status, you just lose it after a while. Eddie, Martin Lawrence. I'm looking for the third to complete my theory.
dave chappelle literally lost it for a while :\

Chappelle never lost it. He just had terribly annoying fans who didn't allow him to do stand up. He had to take a break to let his own hype die, so he could eventually continue what he loves to do, stand up. It did and now he's back at it. It's back to just fans of comedy and not the people yelling "I'm Rick James *****" every 2 seconds during his act. Saw him a few months ago and he's the same as he always was. Its ridiculous how big he actually was during the time of The Chappelle Show.

Yeah chappelle never lost it. I think the ones who lose it do a certain type of comedy. Like Chappelle is a great story teller so he pretty much will always be funny because he can make a random story funny. That kind of comic will always be funny because they just have "it"

Where as somebody like ex. Katt Williams has to rely on riffing on a topic for a few minutes and feeding off the crowd. It gets boring after a while

whats up with Eddie coming out and not doing anything

I was expecting to see Eddie and Chris Rock get in a skit or do SOMETHING

When Jim Carrey popped up in the Will Ferrell skit I got chills and was like "ok this show is gonna be good and full of surprises"

only to be let down :smh:

3+ hours and I laughed maybe twice and did this most of the time :smh:

i think eddie had a little stage fright . he looked extra nervous, so did chevy chase and even ed norton. eddie's used to just working on movie sets now, maybe that thought of live tv and everyone expecting "something" outta him had him nervous.

chevy chase looked like he was gonna fall over and have a heart attack right there tho, dude looked bad. like i said before bill murray singing Jaws had me

getting eddie to show up was enough.

who knows, maybe when he has a project to promote, he will come back and host. ya got to remember it's been ages since he stepped on to that stage

Ya. But I mean Eddie couldnt even redo one of his sketches for old times sakes? >D

He still high key holds a grudge over that David Spade joke so that's probably why... :smh:

Eddie completely lost his personality and sense of humor in recent years. It's weird.

yeah it's like something traumatic happened to him. he's like the class clown that joined the marines and came back a completely different person

He had kids. Then he started making movies for his kids. It happens. Ice Cube is another example of this. Once he had a family, it was pretty much a wrap for anything edgy. Sandler has done it too.

and when they try to do something edgy again, they over do it (Sandler) i think we are all over looking that people like Murphy just forget where they come from once success hits. i definitely thinks that is not a negative for him, but just his reaction on stage seemed so scripted between him and Lorne that thank god they had Chris Rock be the one to say what he did.

i was disappointed by Eddie's appearance but that still does not take away from everything said about him and SNL...... and yes, the spade comments are still a big part since he feels SNL made Spade the puppet for what was said

Have you guys heard about my "When you reach rich-black-comedian-movie star-status" theory. It's pretty groundbreaking and has an accuracy rate of about 99.8%

I've actually heard people say they want Eddie to throw on the red delirious suit and do it one more time :smh:

victim of his own success ...

would be cool tho

What did Eddie in was that whole fiasco when he gave a ride to that transgender prostitute. Remember how Eddie's comedy used to be..him getting caught like that was embarrassing and he couldn't go back to doing those kind of jokes when he was caught out there like that. That's when he really started being different. Doing kids movies is an excuse. His kids are old enough now. That aside, he played his role well in Tower Heist, I enjoyed him in that.

The thought crossed my mind that he'd come out in the all red or all purple leather  but I knew I was just hoping for cheap laughs.
