Considering move from DC area to ATL. vol. The rent is too damb high

I meant "southern brahs" and a friendly comment meaning all the dudes from the south posting in this thread.

I do it in every damb thread. Even my tone and comment would indicate I wasn't saying anything negative.

As oppose to you who made a blanket statement about "DMV cats" based off the comments of one person

Rico comments got you so much in your feelings apparently that you're reading what you want to see and not that actually written.

I'm not telling you to care about the DMV, I never said DMV was better and I haven't made any real negative generalizations about ATL really.

Because I would sound ignorant.

Just like Rico did with his comment about ATL, and YOU with your many comments about the DMV

You wanna rep you city, fine. But maybe you should look at yourself and your post history too before throwing out shots like:

"Only people who compare cities as being better than another are people who aren't accomplishing anything in life".....because you're just as guilty as anyone else this thread as doing exactly that

When I told you to ignore Rico is because I warning you to not turn a discussion into an argument. Not to further the argument.

You really butt hurt about DC being in the South? lol go take a nap.

 Oh god, no one caresssssss

Meth was wrong, being respectful gets you nowhere in NT. I dunno why I bothered

I notice the some homers like Rico and urb praising it though tend to be broke and don't even have any of these good jobs their touting. I don't get it.

Always have to take it to personal shots around here. Am I rich? No. But I live comfortably in my area. I've already said, I live in a desirable location, and in many other threads I have gone deeply into my personal life in order to prove my various points. Rusty can attest to that. So no sir, I am not broke. I'm a Home Inspector, ive recently started in the field but the pay is good. I did some research when I got the job and found out that Home Inspectors in DC get paid the most than any other area. And with the economy pretty much continously booming out heye there will always be room for people in my field.

Imaginary line or not...DC has less in common with most major southern cities than they do with each other. Same as most major cities to the north. It sits on an island culturally. Some people from NYC think DC is country and some people down south think DC is (whatever people call northerners these days).

Also DMV does not mean all of Maryland and Virginia. Its DC Metro Area. Baltimore and Richmond aren't considered "DMV".

ATL is a world city and nothing like anywhere else in GA, but dudes who never even been will call it the country lol. But whatever. I`m eating so I can careless of what others think. Like I said I've been to DC numerous times and literally nothing made me want to move there nor gave me the vibe of being some Fast paced city. Literally anything in DC that I`d be into I can do in ATL, hell even in NYC, the only edge I give NYC over ATL is public Transit.

When you can tell your boss "I was late for work because the President was out." And be serious. Then talk about the similarities between DC and ATL.

lol man what? who cares, I dont work a gig where I need to clock in/have a set time to be to work, and if the roads are shut down I`ll work remotely, and the president and his wife has come to ATL numerous times in the past 2 yrs. What the hell does the president being out have to do with my life? Thats like me bragging about the all of the movies they shoot in ATL, what does that to do with me and how does that help OP?

-waits for non-Georgia NTers to rip through this statement :rolleyes

It really is true, though.

lol dudes will be on some "but you can't get mumbo sauce in ATL" or "you can't eat gyros made out of rat meat at 4am in ATL"

lol ATL has the worlds best Strip Clubs if you're into that, Amazing Weather, AUC if you want to talk the HBCU thing, GA Tech one of the worlds best research institutions, BOOMING Tech,Healthcare, and Movie industries, Tons of places to work, Just got Approved for Google Fiber, about to get an MLS to play in its new Billion dollar stadium, amazing food, etc.

And dudes is bragging about the streets being Shut down because Obama wants to go get some Chinese food.

Ok.

those presidential motorcades suck...my old place in college was right next to the VPs motorcade route and would wake me up quite often with the damn sirens

C'mon Fam the only time I've ever been held up by the motorcade was on a Saturday when I wasn't working. It was ridiculous first term but dudes been a homebody on penn ave since the second term when he's in town. He's probably ready to go back to Chicago. Don't really want to get into the what DC is or isn't debate but there's hospitality here that you won't encounter from philly going up. I've been to plenty restaurants where people will wait for you to decide what you want to eat if you don't know, up north they'll tell you to step aside and let the next man order in a heartbeat. The hunger for more is on a higher level. For the record I'm a native son, but after traveling/living in better more vibrant metros areas DC is very average.

You said that you could do the same thing in ATL that you could do in DC. That is patently false. The federal government is out here, just that fact alone sets DC apart. There are jobs out here you will NEVER be able to get in ATL. Opportunities atl people will never see. There are 4 elite cities in America. NY, DC, LA, and Chicago. ATL just ain up there.

lol man go take a nap, who cares about the federal govt being in a city? If I dont want to work for the govt what does it matter? Once again, Anything I would want to do in DC I can do in ATL. Now if you're into taking tours of the pentagon more power to you but that has nothing to do with me. And I guarantee you Ask anyone that lives in NYC,LA, or the Chi would they rather live in DC or ATL, they will say ATL.

I know you don't really believe that. You riding for your city, and I respect that. But I think we all know what it really is.

believe what. Start a thread with a poll. Nothing I've stated is fictional bruh, lol. Anyways enough derailing of this thread.

LOL'ing at all of this.  You want that city location, better start looking at all these new buildings going up throughout the city.  Get you a nice 1br or 2br if you jugging right.  I got my own place 955 sqft in the middle of DC for the low.  Better start using the system.

just signed the lease to my new place right by the WH
