Gay Students Sue To Join Sorority

But what really goes on in AKA hazing :nerd:

I asked this AKA I was dating but she wouldn't tell...

And what would he actually win in court? Being able to join? I hope he isn't seeking money for not being able to join a private club.

If that's the case I'm taking up a lawsuit to the nfl because they won't let me play

But this is an organization for women. That's not striving for equality, that's new age bullying and harassment.

That's how I feel. Their sexuality shouldn't be their pass to get in because it's an organization based on gender.
I'm all about equality but you've gotta be sensible.

I pray that AKAs don't bend to the foolishness. Why not the make a gay men frat?

Frats are cool if you use them like they should be used. You shouldn't go into it just for parties and sweetheart groupies.
Word. Wasn't trying to talk down on it all. If you pledge into an organization that's a part of the divine 9 you're pretty much on.

Just not for me.

I mean it's come to the point where the "labels" should be "can give birth via vaginal canal" and "cannot".

People are ridiculous

Links? Black greeks are racist to other blacks? What do you mmean

Brown paper bag test, playboy.

Some Black organizations didn't let any man with skin darker than a brown paper bag join.

From what I remember one of my friends telling me (I could be wrong), the AKAs were the same way with the colorism. That's why you see a lot of old pics of AKAs are usually lightskinned, and the Deltas usually having a darker complexion.

But I'm not sure how true this is so don't chop my head off

Wouldn't surprise me 75 years ago but from my experience with CA frats today it's the 100% opposite.

The black/Latino/Asian frats in Cali are good organizations for the most part, at least based on my experiences. I never joined one but they were always welcoming no matter who you were. I hit up hundreds of their parties/events even after turning them down. As for the white ones...let's just say my interactions with them were 95% negative throughout college, and I'm half white. Growing up in a majority Asian/Latino area, I never knew there were THIS many racist white people living in Cali until I went to UCSB. I foolishly assumed they mostly existed in the @!#@ hole parts of the state

Smh.  Idc what your sexuality is, its a sorority for WOMEN not MEN who want to be WOMEN.   Unless you can naturally bear a child, you are not a woman.  Idc what you want to call yourself.

And why would you want to sue/force yourself into an organization that doesnt want you anyway?  To be an eternal outcast and still not be accepted?  I never understood that logic.  Mfs just want to ruin what someone else has going on because they arent happy with their own situation

If the put on.red they are kappas ....they act they same way......lol but srs

MASONs won

On another note, am I the only one that look up when I see an AKA license plate, hoping to see a cutie pie at the wheel, but 80% of the time it'll be someone who left undergrad in the 80s?

This is basically my thoughts on it. I like seeing all the community activities and actual connections being built, but I saw much more of the stereotypical frat/soror stuff where it's being treated like a gang

What do you mean by treated like a gang?

Ive heard of 2 orgs getting into a full blown street fight after one org threw their sets up and did their little dance and interfered with the synchronization of the opposing orgs dance. Chairs, bottles, and fists were thrown.
