What happened to the days when you'd visit the movie theater, then hit up Discovery Zone, WaldenBooks, and KB Toys, get some cookies from the Cookie House, and then ride back to your hood in a crowded dollar van full of loud *** Jamaicans?

Now we got crackhead rastafarians stealing purses from little ole ladies?

Only thing familiar left is the pretzels

If anything that vid reminded me of every time I saw an old lady get robbed as a kid and that Mike Tyson story about how he'd cold-cock old ladies in the jaw on elevators and steal their groceries.

I'm aware of all of this; I posted it to appeal to nostalgia

Had my 7th birthday at DZ and that movie theater kept a lot of kids off of the streets

Got all of my Calvin and Hobbes and Animorphs books from Waldenbooks

at it being fake

This mall been horrible for years. I even hated it when I was in HS chillin there with my friends. The movie theater was raggedy and I'm glad they closed it. The DZ was disgusting and I hated that too. I haven't liked this damn mall since the early 90s

The movie theater is gone?

Little bit of my childhood just slipped away into the inky night.

Literally used to go to KP every saturday when I was a kid before we left brooklyn.

Haven't been in years

  Place definitely has to look completely different now.

IIRC the movie theater is now a Best Buy and the bookstore is now a Victoria's Secret

The multiple toy/video game stores that were there are now just Gamestops

Cookie House still standing tho

since like the 70s or some ****
