I agree with you that these are not Durabuck. If they are then its A lower level
grade of Durabuck. Even the '99-'01 NA Retros didn't even have the same OF
Durabuck as used in the 90's.

And my point was, the whole idea of JB changing things on retros for collectors is only speculation and was prob was spread by some a**whole collector 10 years ago

Currently my collection sits at about 75 pairs, had a lot more but decided to sell a bunch that didnt have good leather. Plus a bunch more I couldnt justify owning anymore because I literally wouldnt have time to wear them all. I still got **** deadstock from 2006.

Bro I swear we've live the same lives in sneakers lol... I got those pacific 7's with that bad as Matching bomber jacket... Leather was pretty good on those too... I need to take that jacket and have it tailored God knows Jordan brand ran extra big back then.., and I got those citrus 7's... They still DS too haha .... I had a rockawear jacket to go with them that I never wore

Not speculation. Gentry stated in an old interview that he felt retros should differ from OG's in order to pay homage to those that were smart enough to collect from jump.

With all the people who don't want them, I hope they're easy to get. This is my most anticipated Jordan release for December.

Which is asinine because OGs and early retros aren't gonna last forever even if collected. Gentry said that just to justify the changes as caring for the collector, but in reality was penny pinching during his horrendous tenure.
Think of it this way too. With changes you can double dip by fooling consumers i.e.White Cement 4s, Chicago 1s, etc. Also with changes collectors will buy each model with the slightest differences just to have each rendition.

Upon further reflection gentry was bad, but the brand is just as bad today... There just different trade offs I guess.... You had the gentry term where prices were decent, but materials sucked donkey... Now this new term where prices are higher , but materials are still not where they need to be... I think this new term is even worse because I get the price of materials have gone up, but that's the cost of those materials at that grade/quality that was used on the OG's... These new materials have to be cheaper to produce but the carry the price increase of the og materials

Also. If u take pics of most durabuck shoes it will look brownish under certain lighting. Even the old ones do that with indoor lighting or even with flash.
And i doubt these will have 3m behind the perforations but that would be sweet if they did lol. The 2003 chromes didn't have 3m either.
