Remastered chrome 8s .... Vol soon come

all I know is don't be fooled. the chrome 8's didnt have that great of material in 2003.  It was the same stuff used on the 2012 raptors 7s, Black Cat 3s, Black Cat 4s, 2006 Chambray 7s, Suns 8s, and the 2015 Bordeaux.

What would be nice is if they used suede like on the 2002 Raptors, Laker 6s, Brazil 6s....  Material that actually changes color when you rub it with your finger and the fibers change direction.

Unfortunately the chrome 8s had Durabuck, not Suede or Nubuck. :frown:

If these are actually "ashy" like most people complain about I'd be happy. Because that material is actually better in my opinion because when you rub the material it changes color because it actually has FIBERS to rub.

I've never really been a big fan of durabuck, because it doesnt even have any fibers to begin with. Sure it doesnt look ashy, but that's about all it does for the shoe. And it just feels cheap.  I like the suede like on the Oreo 5s, or Black Grape 5s. 13s usually always have pretty good material on the suede portions. the black and blue 18s were sweet too. Also Black History Month 3s come to mind, those are nice.

I suspect these will have durabuck just like on the og 2003 Chromes.  Anything else would actually be a step up because to me durabuck is the cheapest material to use on a "suede" shoe.

OG's weren't suede though,

And the OG's had a thicker cut of durabuck so it wouldn't wrinkle as badly.

Is this the sweater you talking about fam?

I respect your opinion although it is unpopular (people jump on Durabuck just because everyone else does). Having owned multiple shoes with Durabuck(from 2000 infras to 2006 Black cat 3s to the bordeauxs from this year) I agree that Nubuck is the better option for longevity. Although it may get ashy, it is thicker now a days sand may last much longer than the thin azzz Durabuck used today. However, Durabuck is much easier on the eyes when it is new on a shoe. I hope JB brings back the OG Raptor 7s with the Black Durabuck Nubuck combo that they stopped after the 2002, I loved those to death.

It looks like they used the same durabuck suede they used on the 2013 Playoff VIII's...
With that said, I need at least ONE pair. I'm STILL 50/50 on 72-10's. These right here MUST COPS IMO.
I MUST DOUBLE up on the ALL-Star/Aqua 8's also...

it actually looks like the stuff used on last years Infrareds. Certain parts of the shoe appear change In shade as she moves the shoe. I'm guessing they used one grain of Nubuck for the straps, and another for the toe. It's definitely not a flat Durabuck all over like the playoff 8s.

I may be wrong but this material doesn't look like the same Durabuck on the aquas

My bad @jaylaw15, it DOES look like the same material from the Black/Infrared VI's. In fact it looks like a mixture of both.
