I hate sneaker arguments were dudes never stop and consider the nuances of the situation.

I'm with the retro+ classification of the Space Jams now after stepping back and looking at all of the facts. I'm just going to say it's the commercial version of the PEs and perpetuated by the movie. By some of yall definition of OG the Space Jam 5s dropping next month would be considered OG since it's the first time they're dropping. And I will not tolerate that slander of my favorite AJ model

Well I think their argument is that since the movie with the variation of the Space Jams we as consumers were able to buy came out so close to the original '95-'96 release, they could be considered OG. Even though the movie was technically released during the '96-'97 season. Quick question, what year were the Space Jams first made available to the public, in '96 or 2000??
 
That's because it is. An original colorway, seen for the first time. Just my view of the word original.

If an artist/musician release a song with lyrics in a certain year. Then someone redoes the song years later with their own lyrics, are those lyrics not orginal because their on someone else's music?

Same model, different color, first time seeing
Same music, different lyrics, first time hearing
New color is original, lyrics are original

Then complain about the price. Then we gonna get some argument there insert in the "inflation" lessons and "broke boy" insults

Then the yearly Royal Rumble about if early release pairs are fake

Yes, an original retro+ colorway. Anything done for the first time is defined as original, not just shoes.

Fist time we see that color, it is original. Whether he wore them or didn't, or if it was during the first production (mid 90s) or not... Based purely on definition, the first time it is produced, it is an orginal color concept.

If the box says retro, i aint OG. It's that simple for me. You can have a retro in an OG color way though. OG colorways are the ones that the shoe was originally produced in during their original year of release. Hence, OG Concords vs Retro Concords.

Spacejam the movie was released in the fall of 1996. Filmed in the summer of 1995. The Spacejams existed before any of the OGs released

There are even pics of the OGs pairs in this thread.

Like I said, there are so many nuances to this story that neither side came claim they talking faxs. :lol:

Exactly! That's all I've been trying to convey to everybody. It's all up to each person's interpretation of the definition of original as it pertains to shoe silhouettes and colorways.

That's why I said in my opinion. They keep saying I'm wrong when no one is wrong. It's just how you view it. Haha

Almost every NT thread is filled with nonsense and garbage. Only difference is that in JB these opinions are spewed by sensitive, elitist, 40 year old, "OG", purist.
