They look dope right here because you can't see that glittery patent leather and the funky colors in it. This pic makes me want to cop. Then I see the pics in direct sunlight and I change my mind. I will say, The mold is on point tho.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. More money for us I suppose. Not the worse, but not worth all the chaos for sure.
Nah, all patent leather is, is leather with a coating over it to give it that hard, shiny texture. My guess is that they did that but with tumbled leather instead of smooth.

That's what it looks like to me. It doesn't look like the "pattern" is on the patent leather, but is actually just the tumbled leather upper being seen through. I hope I'm wrong, but that seems like a bad/cheesy idea for such an iconic shoe.
