ehh lets see

this kinda app in general is just not too stable

its had hiccups with the yeezy drops and they localized that from a single city to recently 3 and still had issues


so imagine a holiday 11 drop where diehards but also casual people sign up and have the entire family download the app and sign up etc...

it would crash for hours at a time etc..

they are looking into it and working on an app

but as i said wouldnt be the first time they didnt deliver on an app

but figured it was worth mentioning here
 
I don't see the problem with going all over the city to sign up. Limiting to just 3 drops my chances of getting called dramatically.
 
Every picture I see of these they just get worse and worse. These have to be a joke by JB. Like just to see if they can put out any XI mid and it will sell out no matter what. Joints are buns. 
 
These don't look that bad. Would I stand in line for 3 hours like I did the Concords? Hell No, but if I happen to get them great. I didn't put much effort in the Jordan 11 "Columbia" and managed to get a pair. So I will treat these the same way. In a nutshell, these aren't must haves for me, but I wouldn't mind adding them to my collection.
 
I would love to see raffles taken out of control of the stores. I think Nike did a decent job with the new raffle process and verification but still needs twerking, I mean tweaking. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

As far a location services, I'm assuming if you turn on your GPS that's what it will use?

I ask because I have to go to the HOH in LA because they are the only ones who get size 15's in my area.

Seems like this app could lead to more problems than solutions...

they havent decided if they will use a GPS "zone" or have you input your street address

address makes the most sense because what if you activate via zone and your not home lol


they have been discussing this for a while now but past 2 months its been brought up A LOT

which is why i mentioned it in here


in your case with the size 15 i could def see this being a issue for you

but regardless this will not be something easy to implement on such a grand scale

i personally feel its a huge waste of time for the most part

the hand writing and callin winners is very tedious and i understand that

but i just dont see an app working out


the only positive thing about it is

no more rigged raffles

but the rest is a nightmare so hopefully it never comes outta beta stages lol

so the footlocker family of stores which is FTL HOH footaction champs kid etc..

are planning to roll out an app for raffles

the app would work with location services and only allow you raffle sign up access to 3 nearby stores via the app

this way the chances increase for people who actually live near certain stores and screws over those people who do like 20+ raffle sign ups all over the city lol


they wish to due this to level the playing field and make it fair

but also to eliminate raffle sign ups by hand in person as its a very tedious thing especially come holiday season or a huge release weekend


the app progress is still in its infancy as of this typing but could get fast tracked

as FTL family were really impressed with how the adidas app has worked for the yeezy drops and have worked closely with adidas during those times(more coming)


again for now take it with a grain of salt as this could not roll out till next year or it could never leave beta stage as FTL has a long history of not completing apps

as some may know/recall they worked on an app that would text raffle winners to avoid the tedious call backs and it never came to llight

instead of doing a FCFS via the app they could do it similar to what nike is doing. give people a window to sign up and be a part of the raffle. should help with some of the issues adidas had with their app, less likely to have a surge of users.

oh thats exactly what it would be

sign up via app as a raffle entry which would be the normal 2 day window

after that the app would send a notification sayin u won(if u did)

there are some good things for the app the issue is all the locations they have

niketown or mercer is just 1 location per raffle entry


FTL family of stores are plentiful so such a grand scale and locations etc..

far more difficult


like NYC alone the amount of locations is crazy

the technical aspects of that alone would be a nightmare


but i do like the niketown/mercer raffle system they currently have goin

on a smaller scale its great
