Personally, I think JB needs to put the XI mid on hiatus for a bit, just to let time pass and come up with newer ideas, instead of the same shoe and just changing the color of the jumpman. Hell, if need be, make a mid of the blue snakeskin lows, or retro new colors of the snakeskins. The confidence, or some people would call it arrogance of Nike/JB is that no matter what, they will sell like hotcakes, so why listen to pleads and demands, when if not hardcore collectors like the majority of us on here, the casual, trend followers will scoop just to "fit in." I doubt the all red mids that Melo had on would drop, but even if they did, I would pass because that is too much of one bright color for my liking. Like I said, even if they charge $300, they would still move because they're XI's, but they won't get my money pending how they look. Just my opinion

And the XI is no different from every other retro they put out, same model just diff. c/w every year, its just the xi is more sought after and now has created a 'tradition' for it to being released in december

Everything, regardless of appeal or not nowadays sells out these days, but you're right, it is the biggest money maker, but what more can they do? I'm not saying the XI is a hard to design shoe, but it's not like you can just splash a ton of colors on them and they look good. Even though, I wouldn't be surprised if some JB employees in the R&D department doesn't troll fake sites for colorway ideas. As for thinking from the CEO pov, that would mean whoring something out if it continues to keep the finances in the black, and out of the red. Pretty much, I'm not saying scrap the XI for now, but do something different like drop a low snakeskin cw for the holiday. Break out of the rudimentary sometimes.

The only pack any "old jordanheads" thought was dope was the DMP - and even then, we would have preferred both pairs release separately and identical to the OGs.

I agree with most of you guys, we need to out the 11 back in the shelves for a while. The space jams in 09 started this whole crazy because we haven't seen the 11 in a long time and now after 6 years we have seen almost all of the og color ways we love and a new one most were hating. I love the 11 and I would cop if they dropped, but maybe it's time we get something else for the holidays. A lot had been released lately so what else would there be. I want the CG 4s, it's been 11 years since they dropped. Or bring in some of those low snakeskin 11s haven't seen those joints in like 15+ years. Just saying, but we all can't be pleased.

That's what I was saying. Hell, push come to shove, make the VI the new Christmas shoe. Although maroons are the only thing left to retro, I'd love a chance to cop white/midnight navy 6's with no fear of them separating or crumbling as soon as I take a foot step, or even turn the black metallic lows into a mid. I understand that the XI is a major cash cow, but, sometimes you have to let that cow get fat again before you can bleed it more

Even deeper than that. If they are going to re-drop the Space Jams, make it true 2000 form with Jumpman/Jam on the tongue, and not Jumpman/Jordan like the 2009's

Agreed. It's the 30th give us what we want. Or at least go back and give us one that is true to original as possible or. I would love this one to release. That would be a 2x cop for me. And yes, I agree make the 6 the new holiday release. I would also take the black/silver 2. That's been a way too over needed release.
