Jordan XI '72-10' Release Date: 12/12/15

Don't understand why at 220 the Jordan 11, the most iconic and celebrated Jordan silouette EVER and it's an absolute no-go!? In comparison look at the price of foamposites, look at the Jordan 20s, look at the entire laser series of Jordans, look at Jordans recent packages at 500-essentially each shoe is 250, look at the Cigar/Champagne 6's that were 250. So if price is your only rationale at passing on these, which could be the premier shoe of the year if done right, just dosent add up. An all-leather upper, butter soft, supple and black combined with a nice, slightly tinted & iridescent sole with the usual asthetics of the mid 11 and a red Jumpman=FIRE.

I'm passing because it's NOT an OG colorway. Simple as that.

What's not to understaind? 220 is way too much for a XI to retail at. The price keeps going up because people like you will still pay the overinflated price and be happy about it :smh:

Premier shoe of the year :rolleyes

Yeah 220 is crazy. What's next in the coming years? $300? $400 retail? JB going way too far with these increases. They use to increase by $5 now when they go up its more like $30-$40 damn near $50 dollars. Slap in the face. Like where does it stop?

Plus all of this, equals a pass!

These will be over 300 after taxes here in Canada. No thanks.

220 isint that outlandish compared to other shoes. 185 for laser 1s? Thats worse. 250 for laser 4s? Thats worse. The Foamposite line anywhere from 220 to 270? Damn. The jordan 20s 220-250. My EXT KDs 200. Every ugly as f*** LeBron James shoe 200 plus and that's not even accounting for the Elite models. every other remastered Jordan 190 and up so I don't know what you guys plan on buying. and I could keep going..I understand dude that said only OG and other that said he already has very similar 11s so no real reason to cop. The traditon that comes with the XI, the holiday release, the unique packaging, the nostalgia, the groundbreaking aesthetics. yes the shoes are becoming way too overpriced, I agree, but if any shoe out there deserves this high of a price it would be the XI. also I think you misinterpreted what I meant by premiere release of the year, its the most iconic/timeless/influential Jordan ever . until I see official pics I don't know but as of right now the Chicago 1's and the hare 7's are more desired, I'm just saying you're going to ***** about price it should be about a lot other shoes as well

I feel you guys, but at the same time if you wind up with a few pairs as most veterans should these will come out as free, and I will always take jordans for free

put it this way if jb brought you brand new numbered air jordans shoes in his last attempt at playing pro
and they came with a nice suitcase and cd....what do you get?

these (which I really wanted to buy after the xvis and evetually copping the xviii)

msrp $200 (which made headlines for jb)

expensive 17s however its sorta justified, and what is jb giving us for holiday xi? paper, plastic inserts, plastic covering, and a box? kinda saying jb was giving us more for less back before these resellers hyped the masses, and guess what we getting less for paying more, and worse that supply is less than the demand....were you standing in the lines and filling out raffles and competing on the internet for your size....thats how uffed it is now

Also, the XVII were great basketball sneakers. Traction was good even on mild dusty courts. The collar was supportive and comfortable, the laces were foamed.
The only downside was if you are wide-footed they might not be your choice.
They were state of the art and came with a cool suitcase and CD-ROM.
But 200 USD / € for a retro that is not on par with the original version is just crazy.

Let's be honest, the quality is going to be the SAME as last years Legend Blue XIs...

It stops when people stop buying retros like crazy. I'm not quite sure what the price ceiling for retros (and especially retro XIs) is at though. On one hand, they easily sell out at around $200 retail but, on the other hand, Legend Blue XIs are going for around ~$300 DS. I'm not saying most would pay $300 for a general release but I'm curious at what retail price point demand dies.

What "we" plan on buying is nothing at all. $200 is my limit on a Jordan, or any shoe for that matter. Any shoe I paid more than that for was financed by me selling something i know i didn't want. I like mostly OG colors. With me having the last 7 jordan 11 releases, i don't need this one.

Look at how since the $190 price all of the releases (regardless of hype) are easier to get...people barely wanna pay $205-210 for tax for the same shoes (aint nothing remastered!) much less $250+ on resale.

It's to the point where money is being wasted. if you buy 2 shoes every month thats 24 a year....which is nearly $5000. at some point, you can't wear all these shoes nor will most people have enough space to store them.

This holiday 11 release will be purchased for my little nephew and others who need help, but not for me personally. that's $240 after tax. I would've made an exception for Space Jam 11s but not these.
