curious about the colombias tho, DS now is like 280. don't see it shooting to 400Holiday 11s typically go up in price the first few weeks or so of release due to the thirst then drop tremendously when everybody who wanted them eventually got them. Then a year or 2 is when DS pairs go back up in price once everybody has beat theirs to the ground.
I don't think they ever will. Most all white or near all white j's historically don't go up in value from what I've seen and the columbias don't seem to be an exception.curious about the colombias tho, DS now is like 280. don't see it shooting to 400

im referring to treating actual pairs as stocks.....you know, buying 10 pairs hoping that the resell price goes up....buying actual stock is the move for sureDo you know that if you bought $200 of Nike stock once every 6 months since 2000, you would have over $30,000?
Nike will be around with or without the Jordan hype.

if youre buying 10 pairs of any shoe and "hoping" resell price goes up youre in the wrong profession. Theres still money to be made in resell. just have to know what shoes to get and what shoes to leave on the shelves.im referring to treating actual pairs as stocks.....you know, buying 10 pairs hoping that the resell price goes up....buying actual stock is the move for sure
i feel you, but the resell price for the most desirable pairs is still dependent on interest for the sneaker......for example sb dunks were the resell moneymakers but now jordans and anything yeezy.......when the new "cool thing" takes off folk might very well be stuck with a bunch of pairs that just aren't hot anymore.

true, trends change. whats hot today may not be hot tomorrow. but for the most part shoes that generally are valuable in the begin remain valuable through out its life. not saying that prices wont drop but if you do your research there is always money to be made. take a look at the shattered back board 1s. people were expecting them to go for 600 bucks post release. turns out that was a huge over estimation. but theyre still going for 350+/-. if purchased at retail and multiple pairs thats still a huge come up in my opinion. same thing goes for the camo supreme 5s. people were talking close to frag/ 350 boost prices. I ended up selling my for 650. Still a come up in my opinion. At the end of the day if you buy a FSR of marvin the martian 7s looking for profit youre in the wrong business.

yep the limited kicks fare better than the general releases because they most likely wont rereleasetrue, trends change. whats hot today may not be hot tomorrow. but for the most part shoes that generally are valuable in the begin remain valuable through out its life. not saying that prices wont drop but if you do your research there is always money to be made. take a look at the shattered back board 1s. people were expecting them to go for 600 bucks post release. turns out that was a huge over estimation. but theyre still going for 350+/-. if purchased at retail and multiple pairs thats still a huge come up in my opinion. same thing goes for the camo supreme 5s. people were talking close to frag/ 350 boost prices. The problem about that plan is that the midsole will crumble on some of them.yep the limited kicks fare better than the general releases because they most likely wont rerelease
....Cause you're planning on holding onto them the re-sell in 10 years?

I can start earlier than 10 years my friend.

I feel you, but don't expect that drought to ever end if you are looking for them to go back to 2006 molds. Fact is that Nike really doesn't care with the way these fly off the shelves as is. No matter how many ppl pass on these for any reason, they will sell out as is. Nike is money motivated and when you sell out like they do, there is simply no reason to change. You're only options are aftermarket prices for older releases, giving in and buying newer generations, or passing and just reminiscing about the good ol days with the majority of us on NikeTalk lolWelp, looks like my XI mid drought continues, I just can't swallow the shape of these. Haven't bought XI mids since the DMP in 2006.
It will eventually. You were able to find DS Space Jams for ~$300 2009-2010. It took YEARS for them to go for what they go for now.curious about the colombias tho, DS now is like 280. don't see it shooting to 400

I saw DS Cool Greys all day for $240-260 2011-2012. I remember being frustrated because I was looking for another pair of Space Jams and couldn't find them for that price but I kept seeing Cool Greys. But space jams were the start of the trend. From what I remember the cool greys and Concords shot up in price after the initial release and so did the Breds. I don't know if it's a saturated market or people just weren't feeling the Columbias or maybe the 11s bubble just busted but their resell value doesn't seem to be benefitting from the 11s hype that the rest got.
