Jordan XI '72-10' Release Date: 12/12/15

For the life of me, I just don't understand why they nicknamed these joints "72-10." What's up with including the 10 losses in the nickname? I, for one, will NOT be calling them "72-10's"

I'm officially calling these the AJ 11 "72's", because in my book it's the 72 wins that we are celebrating with this shoe.

On another note, other AJ nicknames I absolutely despise are (as mentioned earlier by another NTer):

1. Candy Cane 14s

2. Cherry 12s

3. He Got Game 13s

4. Raptor 7s

What they should be called imo:

1. Chicago 14s

2. Chicago 12s

3. Black Toe 13s

4. Bred or Playoff 7s

** Flu Game 12s and Last Shot 14s imo should be universally called Bred 12s and Bred 14s. Every numbered Jordan that has a good amount of black and red on the shoe should have a "Bred" nickname. Just sayin.

He Got Game's don't have a black toe, and I hate the nickname "Bred" for any shoe, it's a new age thing I think.

I beg to differ. He Got Game's definitely have a black toe box (to a certain extent).

And if they call these "Black Toe" 1s (whose toebox isn't even fully engulfed in black), then suffice to say HGG's can easily be called Black Toe 13s.

They're not celebrating the losses, they're celebrating the season which happens to include only 10 losses.
 
10 wins is gold in a NBA season. You all know this is the best NBA winning season to date right? Chicago Bulls holds the number 1 (1995-1996) and 2(1996-1997 shared with the lakers) spot for best seasons in the history of the game. 10 wins sounds sweet as heck to me! 

Wish they would have went more HAM on the design though. It is commemorating not only his best season as a Chicago Bull but the best season ever!

I don't think it's much they could have done from a design standpoint. Seems like they tried to recreate the black and red 11's but give them their own identity.

Yes!!! I thought I was the ONLY one who HATED that name. I HATE that S*** with a ****** PASSION. That's the dumbest nickname outta ALL of them IMHO. Y'all don't have to agree, I don't really care. But, every time I hear that name, I wanna kick the **** outta who said it. Any black & red Jordan (III-XIV) simply should be called "The Playoffs" IMO. Nine times outta ten, that when he wore them anyways. With the exception of MOST All-Star games, and the black & red XII's, which should be called the "Playoff Away" or "Road Playoffs" IMO. Repped, when I can rep you @j o 19.​

Only reason I use that term is so that people who only know them as that would know what im talking about.
