sold a pair of just don's on ebay. buyer claiming i sent him fakes. i asked him what makes him say i sent him fakes, he goes " oh, box isn't even glued properly like from the factory". so i ask him what else is wrong with the shoes, no reply. he's insisting that he went to a "nike store" yesterday to have shoes checked, store employee said shoes were fake. so i ask him again which nike store he went to and the name of employee he spoke to, no reply again. he filed a dispute on me, how do i proceed?? no way i'm refunding him and accepting the "shoes" he's going to return to me. i even dared him to post the shoes here for an LC and have the shoes checked and he said "i don't even know what niketalk is" lol

so Donald Horne Jr of Brooklyn, NY you here??

ebay id is fom westbury, ny
ebay name is d-dot04
pp email is prettibwoybmwATyahooDOTcom

am i allowed to post an email address here?

that email address alone should have been a red flag

Smh @ awaring him of NT.

You should have included insurance on the package or make him pay for it. Then he can't dispute it.

Package was insured, already withdrew his pp payment. I really don't know what he's up to. I think i've found him on facebook. Looks like fresh out of highschool maybe buyer's remorse? lol

When I sell a pair on eBay I always include a pic of the tag inside the shoe with the UPC & production dates. I figure if someone would claim fake & try to pull a "switcharoo" there's no way the tags would match up & any lamen from eBay or PayPal could easily see what happened.

As for the op, maybe it is just buyers remorse, but I would make it clear to him that if he is planning on trying anything like that it is mail fraud, a federal offense, & you will take it there. You wouldn't be lying & maybe he'll think twice about it.

Good luck, hope everything works out for you.

Thanks. Yeah i did include tagged pics of the inside size tag on the ebay listing. I kept asking him what was wrong with the shoes i sent but he never replied. All he said was the box wasn't even glued properly. Wtf man, has anyone here ever received a perfect box from nike? smh

People from Canada suck too. Hell no I'm not sending it as a gift so you don't have to pay customs.

I sold a north face to a guy in Israel. He must have really wanted the jacket because he paid more than that in shipping.

Can't do much when buyers ask for refund.. Smh.

Couple months back a buys requested for a refund claiming i sent him an empty box.. Even though ebay and paypal sided with me but he called up his card company and ask for a charge back. And ebay/paypal can't do anything when it comes to charge back... Lost $120 but its ok im not feeling those trainer 1 pro bowl with flower prints anyway....

After that incident i have been using signature confirmation for all my package over $100.

Any way goodluck fam. Hope you get the original shoe back...

I hope I don't get scammed. sold a pair of air Jordan 7 for a good amount of cash. sent it to another country and the only way I can track it is through the customs form

This is why I don't ship internationally. I've had a lot of people ask, but I just can't risk it when the post office can't guarantee me tracking or delivery confirmation.

which country did u ship to? i am from overseas and i really hope that's not going to be a huge factor when ebay/paypal reviews my case.

Ur most likely gonna lose the case especially if he " proves the shoes are fake " especially since your overseas and he does not have to return the item to get his money back

OP I hope you get your money back. I know at first it will seem like paypal is in the favor of the buyer, but it will work out.
..

In other news

U got people on ebay committing mail fraud because they didn't get the amount they wanted for their items

how exactly is signature confirmation going to prevent people from saying they got an empty box...

For an empty box claim I would try getting my insurance money from the shipping company. My sister ordered a gift card on eBay and when she got it there was an empty envelope. Someone from the post office cut a slit under the shipping label and took the card. The seller just filed a claim and got his insurance money. More than likely the buyer saying he got an empty box is lying, but it does happen. They weigh the package when it's shipped anyway so it's obvious if you shipped an empty box.

If you paid for insurance you should be good.

Who in their write mine would insure some fakes...unless they're about that fraud life.

I don't think insurance would do anything since he got the shoes in hand, insurance is only good for lost or damaged packages which the shipping company (USPS,Fedex,UPS,etc.) will reimburse if you can prove it was never delivered/lost or damaged from shipping. Even if you win the insurance claim, you get the insurance $, but the buyer still gets to return the item.

To the OP, if a buyer wants to return the item, just take it back unless you can convince him to keep it. He literally can return it and get his money back even if you didn't want to have it returned. If he knows what he's doing (and it isn't hard to figure out), there's literally nothing you can do to stop him from returning it, unless you can delay him for 45 days lol. eBay policies are extremely biased towards the buyer, sellers get screwed really easily nowadays. If the dude sends back rocks or other shoes, just talk to PayPal, and they'll tell you to file a police report on him (PayPal has a specific procedure how they want it done though) and you'll get to keep your money.

both paypal and ebay haven't contacted me yet, case is still under review. but i do have a negative balance on my paypal account right now. i'm quite sure he will return fake shoes to me, my only hope is ebay/paypal takes my side when i send proof and we find an unbiased third party to check shoes. he left negative feedback on me just now, so i guess my ebay account is screwed. anyone know how to reverse the negative feedback?
