What's your opinion on White parents adopting children of a different race?

I am just saying that yall dismiss people, "wanting to APPEAR a certain type of way" when making decisions. I think humans are more conscious of their reputation/appearance than yall are willing to give them credit for.

I wholehearted believe that a someone that adopts a child of a different race than their own is attempting sending SOME type of a message. I am NOT saying sending that message is the only/most important thing they are are attempting to do when making that adoption choice, but it exists.

But I am typically more "cynical" than most so I tend to look for things like that.

You're not being cynical you're just stating such a simple concept that goes without saying.

Every decision you makes reflects you and who you are as a person. That's common sense, girl.

The person who adopts a child of their own race is also sending a message. What's your point?

It isn't a simple concept if so many people on this thread are denouncing it. Just read through the thread and you will see.

I see people disagreeing that the message is negative or sinister.

Quote someone saying that it says nothing about a persons' sensibilities and values.

I fear that in certain situations they have become a fad like those mini designer dogs that fit in a handbag

I don't really care, kids seem happy.

If it's a lil black girl, her head is usually jacked.

that brotha would've remained dirt poor if he wasn't a physical specimen and **** the woman that adopted him .....how she targeted them young brothers and then told that exaggerated story exposed what kinda **** she is

I love it, If anyone wants to adopt I applaud it.

The world would be a tad bit better if ppl were more willing to adopt.
Ive seen some people cringe at the thought of adoption.

I know its important to have your own "flesh and blood" child but their is a special beauty in adopting a child.

Let them go forth and be merry. The child gets a better home. The parents can have a child (or more children). Everybody is happy.

For those of you saying it's for some sinister reason, you're not wrong. There are bad in every race of human being. But most of the people are good.

It should be about cotton candy and fairy god-mothers who grant wishes to those who refuse to live in reality.I guess that's why drug use it so high cause no one wants to face the facts of reality.

I personally don't have a problem with someone adopting a child of another race as long as the people doing so aren't doing for publicity or for some future documentary about some long journey of raising a black, asian, african or whatever child. That story line has played itself out ,if you're doing it out of love great but you're not going to get a pat on your back for it or some award.

I think more Americans need to adopt and more WHITE AMERICANS need to adopt AMERICAN kids and I've heard all of the excuses as to why they don't they just should....

Personally, I do find it a little odd when famous people would rather adopt a foreign child instead of an American child.

It seems a bit like a trend to me.

i feel you, seems like there may be another motif...almost to make themselves look good

or i could be completely wrong

Not a fan based on the usual stories that come out

They’re not adopting them to actually care for and give them a good life, they adopt them as props

Give them a chance at a future they probably wouldn’t have in Africa. I’ve seen couples adopt from Asia more and more but haven’t seen that with Africa.
I understand that but why not a white child from American that has been dealt a bad hand?

What is the reason for wanting to adopt a BLack child ?

Uncomfortable question, I know but just trying to understand the reasoning.

I mean if they are going to a loving home, I have no problem. I just wish white mothers at least learn how to do black hair or take their daughters to someone that can do black hair.

Not uncomfortable whatsoever - I mentioned why above
